Update 6 introduces a new way to keep track of mounts, pets, and more.

If you've had problems keeping your inventory clean, you have another reason to get excited about Update 6: the Collections System! This new addition to the UI allows easy access to items you might not always want to lug around in your inventory, and combined with our updates to provisioning, it will free up a ton of space for you. Read on for the details!

When you open the Collections window, you'll be able to see all the items you have in three categories: mounts, vanity pets, and costumes. You can activate your items directly from the Collections window at any time without needing to have the item in your inventory, or even bind them to a hotkey for easy use. Whenever you obtain a new item that belongs in one of these collections, it automatically hops into its place—you don't need to do anything at all. When Update 6 launches, all the costumes, pets, and mounts you already have will be moved to the Collections window for you, as well.

Mounts are important for any adventurer, and all the loyal steeds you've acquired will be stored in the Collections window starting in Update 6. No matter which one you choose to ride into battle, it will benefit from the training you've done at the stables. When you visit a stable and take riding lessons to improve your mounted speed, stamina, and carrying capacity, those statistics will apply to any mount you ride, allowing you to choose your favorite for any occasion and still get all the bonuses you've earned.

For those of you who love hunting down vanity pets, costumes, and other collectibles, the Collections window also allows you to see items you haven't obtained yet. If you just can't stand to have those empty spaces, don't despair! By mousing over the icon for an item you don't have, you'll see a tooltip that indicates how you can get your hands on that particular collectible. The hunt is on!

This is just the first version of the Collections System. In the future, we'll be expanding it significantly with more categories and improved functionality. We hope all you collectors out there will enjoy it. Let us know what you'd like to see added!
