The Ateia family is an old and famous Imperial clan of flutists that often contribute to the Bards College in Solitude, the western city of Skyrim. As stated before, they are known for their affinity with flutes and fifes. One of the earliest known members was the legendary flutesmith, Parteron Ateia, who made several well-revered flutes, which are mostly used, and even kept in secrecy by the Ateia family, though some are found all throughout Tamriel.[1]
HistoryEdit
One of their earliest known members was Parteron Ateia, the legendary flutesmith. He spent most of his life created many well-crafted flutes until his inevitable death. Before he died, he created the Ateian Fife and donated it to the Bards College to be enjoyed for centuries.[1] By 4E 201, Pantea Ateia was a dean and master performer at the Bards College, who even performed for the late High King, Torygg. In light of the Skyrim Civil War, she canceled her musical tour to all of Skyrim's courts and supported the Imperial Legion in their cause.[2]
She was given an old flute that was passed down through her family for seventeen generations, which was later stolen by her former student, Larina.[2] She sent an adventurer to retrieve the flute, which was tracked down to Hob's Fall Cave, an ice cavern and necromancer coven in the glaciers of Winterhold. The flute was safety returned.[3] Pantea Ateia later performed at the tragic wedding of Vittoria Vici, in which the subject was assassinated by the Dark Brotherhood.[4]
