(A Haefriding sea-shanty, still sung in the halls and tavern of Shor's Stand.)
We sailed along Tamriel's coast,
Searching for new land, new shores,
Raiding and pillaging as we saw fit,
My, what fun we had filling our stores!
Led by a thane named Haefrid,
Who knew just how to get plunder,
But then the wind changed along with her tune,
And she decided we'd all made a blunder!
Time to settle down and establish some roots,
Find a land we could call all our own,
Where trade was brisk and risks were low,
And mead could flow after crops were grown!
To Solstice we came,
On Solstice we landed,
We said "curses be damned!"
Kyne and Shor guide us, we chanted!
Now we have a town all our own,
Where the weather is tame,
And the mead flows like water,
