Daedric words?Edit
Is there any significance to the words in daedric in each text? Either to game lore, or to the quest? 142.104.221.172 06:34, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- Book Three, beginning with CHIM, discusses the metaphysical concepts of the Wheel and the I, which is a very esoteric bit of TES Lore concerning the fact that the entire TES Universe is the ongoing workings of a conscious and/or unconscious godhead, and that a character who achieves CHIM - a sort of enlightenment - knows that he is both real and unreal, to whatever extent is needed by the greater mind. In this way, the person is that mind and can dictate his or her own fate, if he can focus well enough and not accidentally "zero sum" into non-existence. Supposedly Vivec had CHIM and tried to teach it to the Neravarine in his Sermons. I'm surprised this stuff isn't on this Wiki in greater detail, but that might be because it really doesn't factor into the games at all (unless you want to believe that the player's use of console commands and the construction set represents the world-altering power of CHIM). Camoran doesn't seem to have achieved it though, since his vision for Tamriel requires Mehrunes Dagon to clear the way for him. 173.206.171.150 09:22, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
