Moric Guidroz believes that a group of Hadolids stole his prized sheep, Privette. They carried her into their lair at Breakwater Cave.

Quick WalkthroughEdit

  1. Talk to Moric outside the delve.
  2. Search three areas for clues.
  3. Find Privette in a cage and let her out.
  4. Speak with Moric outside.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Outside the Breakwater Cave on the south coast of High Isle stands Moric Guidroz. He is very upset because someone took Privette, the most beautiful sheep on the island. They did so without asking permission and now no one will help him get his sheep back. To make matters worse, Privette was taken by "a swell of Hadolids" and he can hear her cries from inside the cave.

Moric is asking you to go into the cave with him to pay a ransom for his prized Privette.

Search the DelveEdit

Enter the cave and you'll see three shaded areas on the map to search. In the southeast corner you'll find a bone pile. Fortunately, Moric says the skeleton is not Privette's.

In the northeast corner of the delve you find another pile of bones, which Moric at first thinks they are from a sheep, but then realizes they may be from a horse.

In the northern search area you find Privette's sash, a present given to her by Moric. After finding this you must speak to him, and you find that he is confident that Prevette is still alive because none of the bones are sheep bones and he believes Privette left the sash there on purpose as a clue to where she is.

Moric decided to search the caves to the west as they must have moved her from this spot where her sash is. As you run through the northen path of the cave you will see clues in the form of skeletons. Follow this trail to the southwest and when you get close Moric says he can hear her bleet.

You will end up in Brineclaw's lair. After you have defeated him, open the cage door to let the sheep out and meet Moric outside. The exit is to the east.

Complete the QuestEdit

When you speak to Moric he says he and Privette appreciates all your help, and that other than being damp and dirty she is safe.

Quest StagesEdit

A Sheep in Need
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
Moric asked me to enter Breakwater Cave to retrieve Privette. He hopes to reach a peaceful solution, but I'm not so sure. I should enter Breakwater Cave to begin my search.
Objective: Enter Breakwater Cave
We entered Breakwater Cave. I should explore the cave to find signs of Privette.
Objective: Search for Signs of Privette
Hidden Objective: Search for Signs of Privette
Moric and I found skeletal remains throughout the cave. And we found Privette's sash. But no signs of the sheep yet. I should discuss our next steps with Moric.
Objective: Talk to Moric Guidroz
Moric seems convinced that none of the bones we found belong to Privette. He holds onto hope that she's still alive. We should continue through the cave tunnels to find Moric's sheep.
Objective: Search the Hadolid Lair
We found Privette alive, but in a pen near a large Hadolid nest. I should free her so we can escape.
Objective: Free Privette
I freed Privette from the pen and she fled Breakwater Cave with Moric. I should meet them outside.
Objective: Exit Breakwater Cave
I found Moric and Privette safely outside Breakwater Cave. I should talk to Moric about my payment.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
