Results of experiment using bismuth to hold a trapped soul
I tested a fist-sized chunk of bismuth to see how well it retains necrotic energy. After the first two failures (see earlier notes), I attempted to use a filled soul gem to determine if the essence would transfer. To avoid wasting resources, I chose my weakest soul gem.
With very little effort on my part, plus many adjustments to the process as noted below, I successfully transferred the trapped soul from the weak soul gem to the bismuth. Additionally, the size of the bismuth need not be as large as
