Cato Albus is an Imperial and current leader of House Albus. He can be encountered at his family's stronghold—the Exiled Redoubt in West Weald.

Quest-Related EventsEdit
When you enter the Exiled Redoubt, you will meet Lucilla Caprenia who has been investigating the disappearance of many soldiers from across the Alliances, and has found out that House Albus are the ones responsible. While you help her investigate and to ultimately stop this scheme, you will first encounter Cato Albus in the Executioner's Chamber.
He will be watching from above the pit as Executioner Jerensi slays the latest batch of prisoners:
- Cato Albus: "Who dares interrupt? I cannot avenge my son without these deaths!"
- <The four prisoners are slain.>
- Executioner Jerensi: "You'll die here like the rest of these dogs."
During Jerensi's fight, he may say one of the following lines when summoning adds:
- Cato Albus: "Intruders! You deserve pain!"
- Cato Albus: "Kill them already!"
- Cato Albus: "Useless. Dispose of them!"
- Cato Albus: "Bleed for what you did to Caecilius!"
- Cato Albus: "Jerensi, toy with them!"
Upon defeating Jerensi, the following cutscene will play:
- Cato Albus: "Blaggards! Enemies of peace! Reprobates!"
- Cato Albus: "I do this for Caecilius. Nobles won't stop this war until they feel the pain of loss!"
- Lucilla Caprenia: "Caecilius? Oh no. I know why Cato started this."
Upon entering the Albus Sanctum, Lucilla will attempt to confront Cato:
- Lucilla Caprenia: "Cato! It's over. Stop this madness!"
- Cato Albus: "I will not rest until the alliance armies burn. They will pay for my son's death!"
- <Cato summons the Squall of Retribution, then leaves through another door that he protects with a ward.>
- Lucilla Caprenia: "I'll work on breaking this ward. You take care of the Atronach!"
- <She runs to the door and tries to use her magic to take down the ward.>
When the Squall of Retribution is defeated, she will finally confront Cato:
- Lucilla Caprenia: "Finally! The ward's down. I'm going after Cato!"
- <Lucilla opens the door and binds Cato with magical chains.>
If you did not kill all of the optional bosses, the following cutscene plays:
- Lucilla Caprenia: "I'm sorry about your son, Cato. But I can't let you kill anyone else."
- Cato Albus: "You cannot restrain me!"
- <Cato breaks free from his chains and attempts to attack Lucilla. She stabs him with her sword, killing him.>
- Lucilla Caprenia: "Divines curse your actions, Cato. Now your death is meaningless."
