If you approach him, he will mutter "Oh gods, what have I done?"
- "I don't know what to do. It's all my fault. If the Duke dies, his blood will be on my hands."
- What happened?
- "The Duke of Camlorn was kidnapped while I was guarding him. Bloodthorns were reported near the lighthouse and he insisted on investigating.
We were going to check it out when the cultists jumped us and took the Duke hostage." - Where are they holding him?
- "I wouldn't know. I've been relieved of duty. The Lion Guard has taken over the investigation. One of their officers, a Lieutenant Harim, went to scout out the lighthouse.
Oh, what if the Duke has been killed? How will I be able to live with that?" - Don't jump to conclusions. I'll talk to Harim.
Speaking to him again before going for the lighthouse:
- "Lieutenant Harim's probably near the lighthouse. Be careful as you make your approach. The place is crawling with Bloodthorn cultists."
Speak to him after rescuing the Duke, and he'll ask:
- "Is the Duke safe?"
After the quest, if the Duke was saved:
- "Thanks for helping the Duke. I'm glad I don't have to have his death on my conscience."
If the Duke died:
- "(?)"

- Marent will not appear at his normal spot at the bridge as long as Werewolves to the North is active. Once it's complete, he'll return to his post.
