Beneath the StoneEdit

After bringing down the barrier blocking the mine entrance, you will find the Foreman hiding near the entrance:

"Quiet! Get down!"
I'm here to help. The Companions sent me.
"Great to hear it. Now quiet down or you'll get us both killed!"

UnearthedEdit

If you haven't started the quest yet, he whisper to you:

"Don't let you see you!"

Continuing on from the previous conversation, he will ask you to save the surviving miners from the Reachmen. Furthermore, the mine is a Companion tomb which the Reachmen are holding two relics to seal the entrance, which you will need to retrieve:

"I'm happy to see you, but please keep your voice down."
Glad I found you. Do you know what the Reachmen are doing here?
"I don't know what they're looking for, but the bastards are all over the mine. They've slaughtered most of my miners. I think a few are still alive, held captive. Find them and free them, if you can!"
I'll try. Do you know where the Reachman leaders are?
"Deep in the mine, in an ancient Companion tomb …. The Reachmen shamans went into the tomb, then the clansmen used two relics to seal the entrance. Their leaders are in the tomb, but you need those relics to get in."
I'll find the relics. Stay safe, Gandis.

He can then be persuaded to help:

"Shor's bones, I'm glad you're here. Look for my miners while you're exploring. They don't deserve this."
[Persuade] I need anything you have that might help me.
"Well, I hate to give this up, but I guess you need it more than me. This key opens the door to a hidden tunnel. It might help you get behind those guys."
Thanks. I'll do what I can for your miners.

Move out MinersEdit

Once all the miners are freed, return to him to report the success of the rescue operations:

"Thank Kyne you made it out alive!"
I'm just glad I found some of your people.
"I can't believe anyone survived. Shor's Stone is forever in your debt."

If you exit the conversation before turning the quest, he will say:

"Shor's bones, I'm glad you're here. Look for my miners while you're exploring. They don't deserve this."
I'm just glad I was able to get some of your people out. (Leads to quest completion dialogue)

If you meet him outside the mine, you'll notice his appearance has changed. Speaking with him:

"You saved our lives, but to what end? Our homes are destroyed and Sinmur could come back at any time."
