  1. Speak with Reesa.
  2. Head to Strifeswarm Kwama Mine.
  3. Collect a kwama cap from the mine.
  4. Talk to Reesa.
  5. Give the caps to Gam-Kur, Utadeek, and Reesa.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Talk to Reesa after completing the quest Through the Aftermath. She will be grateful for you sacrificing power to give the dead a chance for peace, and tell you and it is now up to her and her assistants to do the rest. She wants to make the field of battle fertile once more, and asks you to go to a kwama chamber east of her location to retrieve a mushroom called kwama cap for this purpose. In the meantime she will have a word with her students.

Head to Strifeswarm Kwama Mine, a point of interest to the southeast. Inside the mine you find only one tunnel, which leads to a small cave full of non-hostile kwama workers and scribs. The mushroom you seek grows on the western wall of the cave, and you'll need to do a bit of jumping to reach it. Once you harvest the Kwama Cap, all the kwama inside the mine turn hostile and will attack you if they see you. Make your way back out and you'll find Reesa waiting for you by the entrance. She asks if you have the kwama cap, but will not take it from you yet. Instead, she asks you to take a piece of it to each of her students, then meet her at the southern mustering camp afterwards.

You'll find Reesa's assistants back in the Starved Plain. Gam-Kur will be in the eastern and Utadeek in the central part of the plain. Both of them will tell you that eating the kwama cap will kill them, but that it is necessary to make the land bloom again. Give each of them a piece of the cap, and they will dematerialize before your eyes, turning into glowing green sprites that merge with the landscape. After both of them are gone, head south to find Reesa waiting for you at a campsite next to some Pact soldiers. She will acknowledge her students' bravery and ask for the last piece of the kwama cap. Give it to her, and she thanks you, rewarding you with a small amount of gold and ending the quest. After you exit the conversation, you see green flames surround her and burn her alive.

NotesEdit

  • Completing this quest will also complete the area objective for Starved Plain.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
