- Research the Nirnhoned Trait for any weapon or armor type.
Learn the Nirnhoned Trait is awarded for researching the Nirnhoned trait on any item.
To do this, you will need to somehow acquire a Nirnhoned item. The only way to acquire a Nirnhoned item naturally is by completing the majority of the main quest in Craglorn, which will reward you with one Nirnhoned item at the end of Dawn of the Exalted Viper. Learning all nine traits will allow you to craft certain sets you otherwise couldn't, and as such Nirnhoned items are very valuable when trading with other players. It is therefore generally advisable to research the item you're rewarded from this quest.
The alternative way to obtain this achievement is to purchase a Nirnhoned item from Guild Traders, or ask another player to craft a Nirnhoned item for you. You may need to supply the Nirncrux yourself, using either Fortified Nirncrux for armor or Potent Nirncrux for weapons. Nirncrux of both types can be found by harvesting nodes or killing certain beasts in Craglorn. Due to the rarity of Nirncrux and the difficulty in researching the Nirnhoned trait for multiple items, it will usually be rather expensive if you depend on Guild Traders to do this.
