NotesEdit
- It was originally called Mercymother's Body Art with the description "Mercy emanates from Almalexia when she wills it, leaving its decorative mark on those impacted. As it did with you. Now, did you accept mercy from Mother Morrowind or grant it on her behalf? Maybe both?"—Assistant Maren, Library of Vivec. This was changed with the release of Necrom.
- The Mercymother's Attire, Ode to Clockwork Face Art (previously named Mercymother's Face Art), Mercymother's Coronet and Mercymother's Crown share a theme with this collectible.
- Despite the item being based on Almalexia, this body art actually depicts a fresco of Sotha Sil, hence the two Seht (S) inscriptions on the back instead of the proper Ayem (A), and the symbol in the middle is referred to as the "Hand of Vivec" in promotional material.
- The texture itself is directly lifted from fanart drawn by artist Relan Daevath that was published in July 2020.[1] Following this revelation, the official Twitter posted a statement saying it was never their intention to include any community fan art without proper credit, and that they are in contact with the artist and will work with them to make sure that there is a proper resolution.[2]
