Thorns and BlossomsEdit

When you reach Friendly Rapport with Tanlorin, they will show you the invitation they received from the Gardener, which asks you to meet with him at the new Greenhouse site. After solving a series of clues in Malabal Tor you find The Gardener's Greenhouse and meet with him.

The Gardener will ask for your help in locating Snapdragon, as she had not responded to any of his messages. After the Ring's mission in Auridon, he took it upon himself to reach out to all members, past and present. While the Gardener and Snapdragon parted on bad terms, he is still is worried about her and asks you to head to Skywatch with Tanlorin.

While in Skywatch, you learn Snapdragon was arrested by the guards and shipped to Sunhold on orders from the Ceythalmor. Tanlorin will say this is bad news, as "you aren't sent to Sunhold unless they want you to disappear." With assistance from Hyacinth and Tanlorin's soul magic, you sail to Sunhold to bust Snapdragon out of prison. She will be held in the prison cells and calls out once you have killed Warden Harvithiel:

Snapdragon: "Hey! Is that you, Bogcup? Find a key and get me out of here!"

You can then enter the nearby side room where Snapdragon will be behind a cell door:

Tanlorin: "Snapdragon! Am I glad to see you! Alive and everything even!"
Snapdragon: "It would take more than a few rough questions to take me down! The key's right there. Grab it and unlock this cell, please."

The Prison Warden's Key is on the nearby table. You can then use it on the prison door:

Snapdragon: "Good to see you, young one. I assume you also have a plan to get us out of here?"
<Tanlorin takes the Portal Curio on of their bag and places on the ground.>
Tanlorin: "Hyacinth gave me one of his portal curios. One moment and …."
<The Portal Curio crawls over to the corner of the room and a portal opens.>
Tanlorin: "There! Now let's get out of here before more guards show up!"
<Snapdragon and Tanlorin enter the portal.>

Once back in the Gardener's Greenhouse, you will find the Gardener and Snapdragon in conversation:

The Gardener: "Welcome to my greenhouse, Snapdragon. It pleases me to see that you're safe."
Snapdragon: "Spare me your pleasantries, Gardener. I must have a word with my rescuers."
Tanlorin: "Heh. She's as spirited as ever. Go introduce yourself to her, my friend."

You can then speak with Snapdragon to hear what she has to say:

"As much as I'd love to shower you and Bogcup with praise for saving me, there's no time. The Garland Ring must face the facts—we've been compromised! My arrest is proof of that."
What do you mean compromised?
"Compromised. As in betrayed. I told the Gardener this would happen. That there was a traitor in our midst. But his faith in code names and safehouses isn't enough.
It's what got my husband killed."
Why ask to speak to me? Shouldn't you tell this to the Gardener?
"I wanted to talk to you first because Bogcup seems to trust you … and because you weren't here when my husband was killed. I can be almost absolutely certain that the traitor isn't you.
But time is short. The Ceythalmor could arrive at any moment."
You think the Ceythalmor know about the greenhouses?
"The greenhouses, Hyacinth's magic, our goals. All of it. They know everything.
There's a traitor in the Garland Ring. An informant working for the coin tossed their way by Summerset's ruling class. One of our agents is in league with the Ceythalmor."
Do you know who this traitor is?

At this, the conversation will end and the group is stunned by the news:

Snapdragon: "Not yet, but I have copious notes. Gardener, I'll speak to you now."
Tanlorin: "A traitor! In the Garland Ring? How is that possible?"
Wisteria: "Tan? Can I talk to you and your friend?"
Tanlorin: "Wisteria! Are you all right? How are your wounds healing? Do you need anything?"
<Tanlorin runs up to Wisteria.>
Wisteria: "I'm fine! I just wanted to catch up. I've missed you."

Talking Snapdragon before Wisteria:

"Never fear. I can tolerate the old man long enough to figure out who betrayed us. I'll gather my notes and consult with the Gardener and Hyacinth.
We'll discover the identity of this traitor. You can count on it."

Once you have spoken with Tanlorin and completed the quest, you can talk to Snapdragon some more:

"You'd think with all the flowers I wouldn't be able to smell the Gardener's perfume.
Anyway. We'll figure this out. I find careful thought solves most any problem."
Are you rejoining the Garland Ring?
"Let's be clear, I don't want anyone to die. Not even Hyacinth. But I told the Gardener things he did not want to hear. And he told me to my face that I was paranoid.
That close-minded attitude got my husband killed. I owe these people nothing."
Do you think you'll ever be able to forgive the Gardener?
"I know Gladiolus would have wanted me to forgive the Gardener. But … no. I don't think I ever will.
I'll help clean up his mess. Again. And then I'll go back to Skywatch. To my tutoring, my cats, and my life after the Ring."

UprootedEdit

When you reach Close rapport with Tanlorin, they will have received a letter from Hyacinth. It advises that Snapdragon wants Tanlorin and you to meet with her at Firsthold, and collect her research into the Garland Ring traitor. Once you arrive at Snapdragon's Cottage, you find it has been ransacked, but Snapdragon was able to hide a letter for Tanlorin in plain sight.

In it, Snapdragon says she noticed Ceythalmor agents hanging around, and had gone to meet with Hyacinth alone at the Bone Orchard after receiving a letter from him. As she does not trust him fully, she left the letter behind as a warning. When you arrive at the Bone Tree meeting place, you find signs of a fight with Ceythalmor agents and Snapdragon and Hyacinth are nowhere to be found.

End of the blood trail

Following the blood trail deeper into the forest, you find the gravely injured Snapdragon:

Tanlorin: "Snapdragon! We found her!"
<Tanlorin runs up to her.>
Snapdragon: "Bogcup, thank the gods!"

Speak with Snapdragon to see what she has to say:

"I see Bogcup remembered their lessons. Found my note, did you?
Listen, Hyacinth is the traitor. He must be. When I arrived, he was in the company of Ceythalmor. I hit them with every spell I had, but I barely managed to wound a few and slip away."
There must be something we can do to help you.
"Be quiet and listen. The smuggling tunnels beneath Southpoint. That's where they were going to take me, I heard them. You can get there from a tower. Down by the water.
Finish what I couldn't. Kill that damn traitor, Hyacinth. For me."
Of course, Snapdragon.
"Tell Bogcup it's all right. Gladiolus and I have some catching up to do …."
Rest easy, Snapdragon.

After this, Snapdragon says her final words to Tanlorin:

Tanlorin: "Snapdragon. Please. No."
Snapdragon: "You were always the best of us. Bogcup."
<Snapdragon dies.>
Tanlorin: "I can't. Let's go to Southpoint. I need to kill something."
