Zhaarin is a khajiit citizen of Leftwheal. He was foraging outside of town when it was attacked and is distraught at not being able to find or even search for his missing children.
He will first be found with other townsfolk just inside of Leftwheal. Once you have assisted the town he is found outside.

Quest-Related EventsEdit
Speaking to him before having spoken to Baroness Eliana Cossa:
- "Please, leave me. There is no placating the heartbreak I feel."
- Is there anything you can tell me of what happened?
- "No, I am sorry. I was making my way back from foraging in the nearby forests when the attacks began. I tried to find my children, but by the time I made it to the gates, the guards refused me entrance. I pray they are safe."
If you speak to him after the baroness he will instead start his conversation with this:
- "You're going in there yourself? For the sake of all we've lost, I pray this city must not lose more."
Once you have rescued other townsfolk and stopped any rituals he will now be found with the others outside of Leftwheal. If he is spoken to before the baroness he will say:
- "Is it safe inside yet? No? I cannot rest until I know my family is out safe."
If he is spoken to after the baroness but before completing the quest he will say:
- "My cubs, please, I don't know if they made it out."
Once you have completed the quest you can speak to Zhaarin a bit more.
- "I wish I could muster the courage to go back in, fight the raging fires and monstrous beasts myself."
- What will you do now?
- "I will search for my little ones. If the worst comes to pass, I will bury them in the fields where we used to pick flowers."
