Sorcerer's Twilight

Constitution formula inconsistent with resource return in logs
The Constitution passive from Heavy Armor gives 108 mag and stam back per heavy armor piece worn. In 7 heavy armor, this gives 757 mag and stam. That is the number seen in logs as well. It doesn't seem to add anything else for effective level. Perhaps this was changed at some point? Otherwise I'm not sure what the "Constitution" stat is meant to reflect here in the build editor.
Crystal Frag toggle
The toggle for Crystal Frag (not shard) is bugged. Refreshing the build or butting the ability on your bar does not make the toggle show up at the bottom of the skills menu. I can make it appear by changing morphs, and then changing morphs back to Frag. Then the toggle appears and seems to work. — Unsigned comment by Vixxvexx (talk • contribs) at 09:52 on 15 February 2023
Weapon Damage Enchant &
Build 505685 - Khajiit NB
It appears that the Weapon Damage Enchant is doubled, it shows as 174 in the game, but 348 in the editor.
Additionally, this build's Spell / Weapon Damage vary by 483 each. (The editor shows a higher value)
I've stripped everything down as far as I can and duplicated the in-game build to the same as the editor, but it still doesn't match.
Rallying Cry

Stagger
Any chance we will see Stagger from Stone Fist added to the editor?
"Each hit applies Stagger, increasing damage taken by 65 per stack (up to 3 stacks) for 5 seconds."
Here's something on potential calculations:
[Damage Increase from Stagger = (Normal Hits x 195) + (Crit Hits x (195 x 2.048))]
"Assuming that there are 514 'normal' hits and 558 critical hits on the such as on the Mage Hard Mode fight with 3x Stagger's value of 195, the crit hits on Stagger are multiplied by the average crit damage modifier:"
Damage from Stagger = (514* 195) + (558* (195* 2.048)) Which equals to 329,073 Damage DPS Gain = 329,073/112 End Result of 2.9k DPS Gained per DPS player — Unsigned comment by EarlyBrightStar (talk • contribs) at 22:22 on 19 February 2023
- We could but it would just be a standalone statistic and not modify anything. I don't believe flat damage taken modifies skill tooltips in-game and we try to duplicate the behavior of tooltips as closely as possible. If you can think of some use-case in the builder please let us know! -- Daveh (talk) 16:09, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
5 broken sets
Literally every set's dps display is broken if you are not in edit mode.
BuildID : 501145 — Unsigned comment by Teroh (talk • contribs) at 04:33 on 3 March 2023
- If by "broken" you mean the set tooltip on the build viewer is not accurate to the build then we know about this and have to figure a way of getting it fixed (its complicated). Right now it just displays the default set tooltip from default character stats (i.e., naked and no items, skills, CPs, or attributes). -- Daveh (talk) 16:11, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
Suggestion: Add Group Finder 25% Weapon and Spell Damage boost to 'buffs' list
Entering a dungeon via the group tool gives you a 25% boost to Weapon and Spell damage. It'd be a niche thing to add to the build editor, but can be useful if you're creating a dungeon build to play around with. --Blackbird V (talk) 09:58, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
-
- Glad if this can be added! (I'm not seeing it in buffs right now, maybe user error.) But the bonus isn't just for using the group finder. It doesn't apply if you queue as a full premade, for example. I think it only applies if you queue solo (or possibly as a group of two, I'd need to check). The conditions should be specified so people don't think they'll always get it for using the LFG tool. Virtus753 (talk) 17:09, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
-
-
- Update: the bonus doesn't apply to anyone over Level 50 CP 160. Since this editor is not accurate for builds below CP 160, I'm not sure if it makes sense to enable a buff that only applies in those circumstances. If it is kept, it should be labeled as a Battle Scaling buff for low-level characters.

Weapon Damage Enchantment on OneHand-Weapon
Hi, I added a weapon damage enchantment on a one hand weapon and the poup shows me a smaller effect but the values are increased much larger than the popup shows. Item.Spelldamage increased from 2654.09 to 3002.09 but the effect of the enchantment is only 174. Also the view page shows an enchantment effect of 348. Could it be, that the algorithm calcs one handed weapons as two handed weapons? And I don't understand the still larger difference in the Item.Spelldamage.
Here is a build with such a problem: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=515212 — Unsigned comment by Kallreven (talk • contribs) at 10:18 on 6 March 2023
- Its showing a value of 174 for me at the moment. You can confirm the exact value being used by looking at the Raw Data tab and finding the enchantment entry under "Spell Damage" or "Weapon Damage". If you can replicate the one-hand weapon enchantment using a larger value let me know! -- Daveh (talk) 15:00, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
Spirit Guardian incorrectly increases damage taken in buffs
Spirit Guardian in buffs reads as "Increases your Damage Taken by 10%" which makes it decrease damage mitigation in the damage mitigation tab when toggled on. The skills is supposed to reduce damage taken by 10% by redirecting 10% of the damage taken to the spirit. This issue affects both the skills tab and the buffs tab when enabled.— Unsigned comment by DarkerSavant (talk • contribs) at 05:16 on 8 March 2023
- Edit: The Spirit Guardian buff toggle is working to increase mitigation but skills toggle of spirit guardian still adds a negative to mitigation reducing it. — Unsigned comment by DarkerSavant (talk • contribs) at 07:24 on 18 March 2023
Vampire passive Undeath has no toggle
The passive decreases damage up to 30% based on remaining health. Should be added to buffs or skills toggle with a field to enter desired remaining HP or percentage of resistances. Falcon's Swiftness morphs and Hawk's Eye set
Falcon's Swiftness morphs (Bird of Prey and Deceptive Predator) aren't applying their buffs when slotted (Minor Berserk and Minor Evasion), so I have to manually apply them to the buff list.
Hawk's Eye 5 pieces is appplying the 6% stamina cost reduction to Bow abilities' tooltips, but it's not applying the buff to their damage, so I can't compare the output damage to another set if I'd like. (I can still calculate myself but IDK how accurate it is, idk exactly how the dmg % boost applies on the dmg output math, is it after all the buffs, or what?). Resistance debuffs seem to be calculated and applied beyond the target cap of 18,200
I have double checked that the Target resistance is set to 18200 on the General tab.
Under Buffs > Target, I have applied Alkosh (6000), Major Breach (5948), Minor Breach (2974), and Infused Crusher (2108). I have added the 700 pen from the Piercing CP (blue passive). I have one piece of light armor (939). I have also slotted the Force of Nature star and set its stacks to 8 so I get 5280 pen from that. The effective penetration, considering my own pen (6919) plus target debuffs (17030), is well over 18,200. But changing a charged trait to sharpened on my off-hand dagger results in the editor showing further target damage mitigation (-8.7% to -11.2%) and increasing my quoted effective weapon and spell power. Just removing Minor Breach on the target likewise results in higher target mitigation (though still a negative value, -4.2% instead of -8.7%) and lower effective weapon and spell power, even though I would still be over pen cap (6919 + 6000 + 5948 + 2108 = 20,975 instead of 23,949).
Penetration/resistance reduction past the cap can't lower target mitigation below zero and shouldn't increase effective weapon or spell power.

Theif Vs Lover Calculation Issue?
I've observed an unusual behavior with effective power calculations when comparing the Mundus Lover and Mundus Thief. Despite exceeding the penetration cap of 18200 with Major and Minor Breach, Piercing, 3+ Light Armor, 1 Valkyn Skoria or Penetration Piece, Velothi Mythic, and 3 Splintered Secrets for 2973 Penetration (which totals to 18549), the Mundus Lover continues to outperform the Mundus Thief. This raised concerns about the accuracy of the power calculation or the interaction between certain buffs and gear.
I created a new build (blank template) and the issue is still apparent. I set the resistance to 0. The Mundus Lover still outperforms the Mundus Thief.
Thank you for all your hard work — Unsigned comment by EarlyBrightStar (talk • contribs) at 15:01 on 3 August 2023
- This is because the calculator does not respect the pen cap (see above). It is not limited to the Lover. Adding any penetration or armor debuffs will continue to add effective power to the build even if they shouldn't change the target's effective armor because it's already at zero or below. The editor shows the target's armor going into the negatives and considers that more effective than zero. Virtus753 (talk) 19:05, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

Bash calculations use both physical and spell resistance values
The game calculates bash damage using both of our spell and physical resists rather than just taking the higher of the two.
From what I'm seeing in game, the coefficient of 0.01125 is correct, but the game multiplies each of the spell and physical resistance values by 0.01125, rounds each one down to the nearest integer, and adds them together plus the 1 base bash damage that all characters get, along with flat bonuses like Bashing Brutality and Deadly Bash.
For example, if I have 14020 spell resistance and 13294 physical resistance, the game multiplies 14020 by 0.01125 and rounds down to 157. It multiplies 13294 by 0.01125 and rounds down to 149. With the 1 base bash damage added in, the game shows 307 on my advanced stats page. This example also shows the game is not adding the resistances first before multiplying by 0.01125 and then rounding: if it did, I would get 308. (14020 + 13294 = 27314, which when multiplied by 0.01125 gives 307.2825. I would then see 308 with the 1 base bash damage added in.)
This is reproducible for any combination of resistance values: at 12643 spell resistance and 11917 physical resistance, I get a bash damage value of 277 on my Advanced Stats screen.
The Advanced Stats screen never shows the effects of the increased bash damage from the built-in Heavy Armor passives or the penalties from the built-in Light Armor passives. The Heavy Armor passive seems to work as intended (+30 per piece added alongside the 1 base damage, Bashing Brutality, and Deadly Bash). The Light Armor passives are currently behaving in a very unexpected way and seem to be decreasing bash damage by much more than 1% per piece.
Merciless Charge's final effect shown on UESP is incorrect
While UESP's build editor shows that the final effect inflicts bleed damage when using Critical Charge over a period of 10 seconds, ESO shows that it instead increases damage done with direct damage attacks. This effect scales off the higher the weapon or spell damage.
Thank you for taking the time to apply this correction.

Sneak cost calculation use wrong formula
Sneak cost calculation formula of the build editor is highly innacurate.
•1st: the formula assume sneak base cost is 131 but I observed on multiple races and classes that it is 133.
•2nd: the formula ADD cost reduction coming from the same category(cp, skill, buff, item, set) together then use that sum as a multiplier instead of using each of them as an individual multiplier.
For example let say i have this 3 skill passives: "Medium Armor bonuses", "Improved sneak II", "Improved Hiding II" and that I wear 7 pieces of medium armor meaning these passive give respectively 35% cost reduction, 49% cost reduction and 20% cost reduction.
•Build editor will say that my sneak cost is -5 because it calculated like this: 131*(1-(0.35+0.49+0.2)) = -5.24
•But ingame value will say that my sneak cost is 35 not -5(or 0 if there is a no negative number rule)
•To get the value shown by the game(35) the formula need to be: 133*(1-0.35)*(1-0.49)*(1-0.2) = 35.2716

Battle Spirit Incorrectly Applied to Health Recovery
It looks like Battle Spirit currently reduces Health Recovery by a flat -50% (additive) while the true behavior of the game halves Health Recovery *50% (multiplicative). There is currently a bug with the build editor when you select purchase all for champion points. Weapon damage enchantment buff wrong amount and cannot be disabled
1) If I add a weapon damage enchantment to an infused weapon and switch weapon/skill bars, the weapon damage enchantment buff increases by another 30 %. It does it only on the other weapon bar, if I switch to the infused weapon dmg enchant bar I get correct value. Normally it does not make a very big difference, but when you put on Heartland conqueror set it gets a little crazy.
2) Once I add a weapon damage enchant on any weapon I am unable to turn the enchant off unless I take it off the weapon, I don't know if that is intended or not (quite annoying in my opinion). --StoneCold14 (talk) 10:05, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- I can't replicate #1. It might be a secondary effect from something causing the issue. If you have a build where it occurs can you link it here so I can test it? Currently the only way to "disable" an enchantment is to "unequip it". I'll see if I can add a way to disable it like the item slot. -- Daveh (talk) 15:45, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

- Thank you for the Enable/Disable button. Try looking at this build [1] if you select weapon bar 1 and check buffs/raw data, you will find the weapon damage enchant on MA 2h gives 587 wpn/spell dmg instead of 452 it is supposed to (which by the way corresponds to counting the 30 % from infused twice). Now if you select the weapon bar 2 (maelstrom greatsword) it will show and use 452 dmg from the weapon enchant correctly.
-
-
-
- Regarding the Enable/Disable button for the enchantment, it seems to be disabling it only for the weapon/skill bar with the active weapon damage enchant. So if I have weapon dmg enchant on backbar and I disable it and have the same bar selected, it disables the buff, but if I select the other weapon bar, the weapon dmg enchant buff is enabled whatever I do. Sorry for the long boring sentences, I am just trying to make myself crystal clear. Thank you for all the work on this!!! --StoneCold14 (talk) 16:50, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Draugrkin set 5pc bonus does not work
Draugrkin and Dragon's Appetite 5pc bonus currently does nothing in the editor. In game I have tested it to a great extent. It adds the extra damage done to a base tooltip before multiplying by damage done buffs, for DoTs it adds the extra damage done to a base tooltip of a single tick before multiplying by number of ticks and damage done buffs. It shows in tooltips and it really works. It buffs damage of status effect activations, it buffs weapon enchants that deal damage, it buffs damage of your pets (tested on Warden bear). It even buffs direct attacks that deal many separate hits and it buffs them all separately (e.g. force pulse gets buffed for each element separately and even the cleave dmg gets buffed separately). If a skill dmg modifies its damage by x% it counts in the extra bonus from Draugrkin as well (e.g. Fetcher Infection - second cast deals extra 60 %, or any execute ability - you calculate the base tooltip from max dmg stat, max resource stat, add the 330 from Draugrkin and then multiply by damage done)
Tested exceptions: For effects that stack and deal more damage the more stacks there is (e.g. Zaan or Relequen) it says in the tooltip of the sets with draugrkin equipped it increases the damage per stack, but it adds the extra damage (multiplied by damage done modifiers) on top of each tick of the dot, it does not work cumulatively. So to make it clear, if you have 10 % damage done bonus to a Relequen set and your tooltip says, let's say, 220 dmg (200 * 1,10) per second per stack up to 10 stacks, equipping Draugrkin will change the tooltip to 583 dmg (200 * 1,1 + 330 * 1,1) per second per stack up to 10 stacks, but if you stack it up on the target, it does 2563 dmg per second (220 from relequen without draugrkin times 10 stacks plus 330 * 1,1 = 363 bonus from draugrkin. With Zaan, for some reason it does not raise the base dmg that gets multiplied by each tick, but since you don't show cumulative zaan proc dmg in the editor, it is not that important.
Bottom line: 1) Draugrkin adds passive flat bonus, which adds to the base tooltip of direct attacks and each single tick of a DoT attacks and has no condition for it to apply. If a DoT stacks (only relequen comes to mind) it still boosts each tick only once irregardless of number of stacks of the DoT.
2) Dragon's Appetite does the exact same thing with lesser bonus but also comes with a condition that the target must be bleeding (any DoT that specifically says Bleed damage every/per second/over X seconds or Hemorrhage status effect). Since it has a condition it does not change tooltips in game, but I propose a toggleable on/off switch in Sets page for it to show in the tooltips of skills.
It is similar to effect of Belharza's band for light attack damage.

- I've added toggles you can test for these two sets and let me know how it works. I haven't tested the two exceptions yet but I think it will add more than the expected damage. -- Daveh (talk) 16:34, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

- Thanks, I've noticed 2 things so far: 1.) for Bahsei's mania the flat damage increase from Draugrkin/Dragon's Appetite somehow adds up to its %dmg done boost which should be based only on missing magicka. (This seems to be problem not directly tied to just flat damage bonuses, so I made separate section about that.) 2.) The extra flat damage in skills and proc sets should first add up to a base tooltip value and then get multiplied by modifiers.
- For example Screaming cliff racer with 15000 magicka, 2000 spell damage, +12% dmg done, +6% single target dmg done and draugrkin is currently:
(15000 * 0.092970 + 2000 * 0.97618) = base dmg
base dmg * (1 + 0.12 + 0.06) + 330 = modifiers
current final tooltip dmg = 4279.3538 = 4279
- It should be:
(15000 * 0.092970 + 2000 * 0.97618) + 330 = base
base * (1 + 0.12 + 0.06)
correct final tooltip dmg = 4338.7538 = 4338 (I am not sure how exactly tooltip numbers are rounded in game)
- For DoTs it should work like this (say Fetcher infection - number of ticks = 11)
(15000 * 0.018782 + 2000 * 0.19721) + 330 = 1006,15 base per tick
base per tick * 11 ticks = 11067,65 base
base * (1 + 0.12 + 0.06) = 13059,827
correct final tooltip dmg = 13059
-
- And by the way Maelstrom twohanded weapons set (Merciless charge set) should be working identically, with the exception, that it boosts only direct attacks --StoneCold14 (talk) 11:31, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Coral riptide + Bahsei's Mania have wrong tooltip calculations
Both sets have their tooltip that states current bonus calculated as if it was some kind of damage proc set like pillar of nirn. There are MaxStat and MaxDamage stats used to calculate something and dmg done modifiers and Bahsei even adds flatdamage bonus from sets. --StoneCold14 (talk) 11:40, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- I tested both and they seem to be working as expected. You need to enable the set on the "Sets" tab and set a non-zero value for them to work. For Coral it goes from 0-67 and for Bahsei it goes from 0-12. If there's something else broken or not matching the in-game version let me know! -- Daveh (talk) 15:32, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
-
- Sorry, the function is correct when you enable the set, but if you disable Bahsei and enable any flatdamage set like Draugrkin, it says in the tooltip (if I hover a mouse over Bahsei set part) 300+% damage done, also if I check the calculations for this tooltip it says that x% damage done x = 0.00028430 Magicka - 0.0000347 SpellDamage - 3.4544 (Generic Damage, Single Target, Direct Damage, Melee, ElfBane). This might not be too important as long as the set functions correctly while enabled, which it does. But there seems to be some kind of a problem with Bahsei and Coral. Anytime I add one of these sets to a build and save it + reload it, the build loses all numbers in Raw Data tab and everything in Computed Character Statistics turns to "?" For example this build turned like this: [2] --StoneCold14 (talk) 09:23, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Suggestion: '% Health, % Stamina, % Magicka' fields for testing Set Bonuses/Skills that scale based on missing Ability Value
The Build Editor lacks a way of testing Set Bonuses/Skills that scale based on the percentage of missing Health, Stamina, or Magicka - adding fields for each could remedy this?
Possible implementation could be adding fields for % Health, % Stamina, and % Magicka to 'General/Miscellaneous Stats' (or elsewhere), and also displaying individual changes in 'Sets' when an associated Set Bonus is active. Done this way should scale values for Skills as well.
- Benefiting Sets: Nobility In Decay, Coral Riptide, Mark of the Pariah, Bahsei's Mania, etc. (incomplete list)
- Benefiting Skills: Dragon Blood, Eviscerate, etc. (incomplete list)
Alternatively fields could appear in the 'Sets' tab like other Set Bonuses, letting you set % Health, % Stamina, or % Magicka when an associated Set Bonus is active, though this might not work for scaling Skills (if unimportant).
Set: Nobility in Decay - bugged 5-piece description
The Nobility in Decay Set has a different description in Edit Build from View Build and the Wiki:
Edit Build:
- Casting a Bone Tyrant Ability while in combat grants you Beautiful Corpse, Minor Protection, and Minor Resolve for 16 seconds, reducing your damage taken by 5% and increasing your Armor by 2974. This can occur once every 20 seconds, and is reduced by 2 seconds for each slotted Bone Tyrant ability. Casting a corpse consumer ability consumes Beautiful Corpse, treating you as a corpse.
View Build/Wiki:
- Casting a Bone Tyrant ability while in combat grants you Beautiful Corpse and Death's Favor for 16 seconds. Death's Favor increases your Healing Taken and reduces Damage Taken by up to 12% based on your missing Health. This can occur once every 20 seconds, and is reduced by 2 seconds for each slotted Bone Tyrant ability. Casting a corpse consumer ability consumes Beautiful Corpse, treating you as a corpse.

Markyn Ring of Majesty not included in stats
When equipping the Mythic ring (Markyn) the tooltip on the ring reads correct. When you add 3-piece sets to the build editor the ring adds up the spell/weapon damage and Armor bonuses correctly on the tooltip when hovering over the ring.
HOWEVER, on the actual stats of the build or the Computed Character Statistics (Right side column of page) these values are not added into your weapon/spell damage values nor are they added into you Physical/Spell Resistance values. When moving over to the Item Sets tab there is no option to turn on the set bonus characteristics....like other special sets....and there is no drop-down for how many stacks the item is able to boost (So in this case 1,2 or 3 stacks).
Thus, the overall statistics of a build using the mythic item are inaccurate and also confusing if trying to reach 50% mitigation.
