Faida at work in the tavern

Faida is a Nord food vendor and the innkeeper of the Four Shields Tavern in the small village of Dragon Bridge. She stays behind the inn's counter all day. During the related quest, she will direct you towards the Imperial Courier.

Faida wears a set of farm clothes along with some gloves and a pair of boots. She wields an iron dagger and carries some common items and gold.

Quest-Related EventsEdit

At the start of Breaching Security, you will find Faida outside the Penitus Oculatus Outpost alongside her lover Gaius Maro and his father. Before starting his security inspections, Gaius shares a heartfelt goodbye with his father, and will then have a short moment with Faida:

Faida: "Well, this is it, then. Look after yourself, Gaius. You're doing your duty, and I'm proud of you. But you'd better come back to me. You hear?"
Gaius: "Oh, Faida. I may travel alone, but you know I carry you always in my heart. I'll see you soon."

After this, Gaius departs and Faida will head back to work at the inn.

DialogueEdit

Faida can greet you by saying:

"Faida's the name. I keep the inn."
"Something different about you, I can tell. Hope you ain't here to cause trouble."
"The meals I serve ain't what I'd call a Jarl's feast, but they'll fill your belly."
"Seen a lot of travelers lately. Mostly soldier [sic], nowadays."
"You met the Lylvieves? Quiet family, but they're the heart of Dragon Bridge."
"Poor Horgeir. Everyone in town knows about his wife's affair but him. Probably better if he doesn't know." (As long as no member of Horgeir's family is around)
"I think the dragons are here to test us, and make sure we're still true Nords."
"I was a barmaid at the Winking Skeever when I met my husband, rest his soul. Wasn't for him, I'd still be working there!"
Where can I learn more about magic?
"Nords don't care much for magic. The College of Winterhold is about the only place it's not looked down on. Otherwise you could talk to the Jarl's pet wizard in Solitude."

ConversationsEdit

Julienne Lylvieve is currently learning about the innkeeper trade from Faida. They can be found having the following conversations:

Julienne: "Miss Faida, may I ask you a question?"
Faida: "Of course, Julienne. What's on your mind?"
Julienne: "What do you do when a customer can't afford to pay for a meal or a drink?"
Faida: "Since my customers are mostly local, I just knock on their front doors the next day."
Faida: "Mind you don't forget to sweep up, Julienne. The floor's looking a bit dusty."
Julienne: "I won't forget. I'll do it after I get the dishes cleaned."
Faida: "You've been working hard lately. You'll make a fine innkeeper someday."
Julienne: "If the Nine are willing!"

RumorsEdit

Back in Solitude, Minette Vinius may mention her in response to her father saying that running a bar isn't a lady's job:

"What about 'Auntie Faida' in Dragon Bridge? She runs a bar, and you said she's one of your favorite girls!"

NotesEdit

  • According to the game files, she's the cousin of Corpulus Vinius. Minette Vinius also refers to this fact in a scene.
  • It seems that Faida was once meant to be a part of a love triangle with Julienne and removed Dragon Bridge resident, Tasius Tragus. Tasius and Faida are marked as lovers in the Creation Kit, but Julienne is marked as a secret lover.
    • Tasius was seemingly replaced by a man named Voltus Agallon, who in turn got replaced by Gaius Maro. Despite this, Maro is still in a relationship with Faida, although they aren't marked as such in the files.
