SummaryEdit
This template provides a (relatively) easy way to add smiley faces to talk pages on the wiki. It uses the hexadecimal Unicode codes in the range 0x1f601 through to 0x1f640. It allows for the output to be either the Unicode text or a standard description of the smiley.
Display ProblemsEdit
If you can not see the smilies on this page, but only see square boxes in their place, this would indicate that your computer does not have the appropriate Unicode fonts installed, or your web browser is not properly configured to display them. You can fix this yourself by following the instructions at unicode.org.
The following test will help you ensure that your Unicode support is functioning properly. Compare the two lines of smilies. The first line is created using Unicode font support, the second is an image that everyone will be able to see, whether they have Unicode support or not. If the two lines of smilies look the same, then your Unicode support is working fine. If not, then you will need to do some tinkering to get it working on your computer.
