This template provides a standard way to link a single username or IP address, most likely from another template. It includes a simple parser to strip parenthetical text from the link and include it as plain text instead.

Parameter	Scope	Description
1	optional	The username or IP address to link. If empty, no text will be displayed. If square brackets are included, the parameter will be displayed precisely as passed with no attempt to link or parse.
