This page describes the methods available to contact UESP's editors, administrators, and community:
Contact an Editor
To leave a public message for any editor:
- In the search box on the left side of the page, type in User talk: and the user's name, and then click the magnifying glass or press Enter.
- Click on the plus sign beside the edit button at the top of the page.
- Type in the subject and your message, end your message with four tildes (~~~~), and click on the Save changes button.
To send a private email to one of the editors, you must be logged into the site and have provided a verified email address.
- In the search box on the left sidebar, type in User talk: and the user's name, and then click the magnifying glass or press Enter.
- Click on the Email this user link on the left sidebar under "tools". On the form that appears, type in your message and click Send.
- Some editors have not provided email addresses or have requested to not be contacted by email. In these cases, private email is not possible.
Contact an Administrator
Contacting an administrator is as easy as contacting any other editor. Since all administrators have a verified email address, you may contact them through their talk page or by email. Daveh, UESP's founder, can also be contacted through his talk page or by email.
- See a list of current editors who have administrative privileges on the Administrators page.
- To make a general request to any administrator or report spammers, use the Administrator Noticeboard.
- If a large-scale editing job is required, post on the Bot Requests page.
Contact the Community
Ask on Discord
You are welcome to ask questions on the official UESP Discord server. Join the server with this invite. The #wiki-editing-help channel is a good starting point for new editors.
Ask on the Forums
You are welcome to ask questions at the UESP forums. There are separate subforums for each of the main TES games, as well as subforums specifically for Lore and general TES topics which apply to more than just one game.
Wiki Discussions
- Articles are discussed on their respective talk pages. Click on the "discussion" button at the top of the page, then click on the plus sign beside the edit button.
- The Community Portal is where users discuss site policies, style guidelines, and changes that affect multiple articles.
Finding Information
- Reference Desk — If you can't find the answer to your question by searching, then ask the community at the Reference Desk
- If the content you are looking for doesn't exist, feel free to create a new page following the UESPWiki style guide. Or, post on the New Page Requests page.
