This is my list of Skyrim mods. It's a new acquisition of mine for PC, so the mods list will be subject to change as I tailor the game to my own tastes following years of Playstation Skyrim.

Current ModsEdit

Required ModsEdit

These mods are required if you want to emulate my mod setup, as the survival mods in particular are dependent on them.

This mod makes the game's menu interface into one that's more PC-friendly, although it retains controller support (which I take advantage of since I'm more familiar with the years of Skyrim on PS3). This mod also adds the "Mod Configuration Menu" (MCM) to the options screen, which a lot of bigger mods take advantage of to enable player-customisation options for how they want to experience the mods.
Okay, this mod isn't required per se, but it's always nice to have all the bugs fixes the community catches that Bethesda Softworks decided to leave behind. Yes, this is the unsupported "regular" version that has been replaced by the "Legendary Edition" patch. I don't have the three expansions at present, just the base game, so it's sufficient for the time being.

Survival ModsEdit

Yes, as the roleplayer that I am, I immediately made sure the first mods I downloaded were the "survival" mods featured on many a Let's Play channel that I've had to jealously watch while stuck as a Console Peasant when it came to Skyrim.

Campfire is a camping mod that adds the ability to buy and purchase tents and camping supplies, look for resources like firewood for making campfires, etc. It's also the base to the Frostfall mod, which is listed next.
Frostfall is a survival mod that adds exposure to the game. You have to worry about how wet or cold you are at any given moment, be dressed appropriately to the weather, and it makes one want to question whether the treasure at the bottom of the water is really worth going after. It's hard to spend your riches if you freeze to death because you dove into the water, got drenched in rain, or got caught in a blizzard unable to make a fire or dress up in warmer clothes to buy time to escape. It's also warmer in the day, colder at night, and obviously the southern regions like Falkreath and Whiterun tend to be warmer than say, Winterhold or Windhelm, meaning you really shouldn't do such traveling unless you were dressed appropriately and had an emergency fire starting kit and a tent to pitch on the odd chance that you can't find shelter when the weather turns to hell.
This has got to be the coolest mod I've ever used, and I've only been using it for a grand total of 4 hours at the time of writing.
When using this mod one has to worry about how hungry, thirsty, and tired their character is. This mod surprised me, because in addition to worrying about your food needs and diseases becoming worse and worse if untreated, they also threw in minor things like food spoilage. Raw meat can go bad, bread can go stale, you can make charred meat by just "burning" the food in the cooking pot on its own without salt or anything, although it raises thirst and doesn't look appetizing to me. It's definitely more realistic to go into an old ruin and see the bread is bad, the meat is spoiled, fruits you don't want to touch with a ten-foot stick because eating anything that was raw or spoiled risks making you ill, etc. It's definitely a nice complement to the above two mods.

ItemsEdit

These mods add assorted items to the game.

This mod does what it appears to do. It adds cloaks to Skyrim, worn by guards, bandits, common citizens, etc, and the player can find or purchase them themselves. It works nicely with Frostfall, and it's another layer of warmth and protection from the elements to have some kind of cloak.
This mod adds hundreds of pieces of armors, painted shields, and so forth to the game that can be crafted, bought, or found on other people or out and about. It's also got HothTrooper's miscellaneous items like the fur scarves in it. And, all of these items are influenced by Frostfall, and I've got a lovely white fur scarf to accompany my armor and painted shield that I explore with these days.
Same as the above, but it adds assorted weapons to the game.

NPCsEdit

This mod adds patrols of various factions to the world, and they can even go into battle against each other, meaning fort ownership out in the wilderness can change for periods. it definitely adds some immersion and a sense of danger not knowing what's a safe area to be at or if your enemies will be there waiting.
Adds 12 unique followers (adventurers?) to Skyrim, each with their own specializations and themes. Instead of sticking them in a corner, they travel randomly to multiple locations across Skyrim, attacking bandit camps and forts, resting at empty locations and friendly shacks and relaxing at Inns and Cities. Great filler characters even if you don't want followers.

MiscellaneousEdit

These are miscellaneous mods that I couldn't think of a decent sorting for.

The way I've got this mod currently set-up is that I've started out as a warrior with minimal gear in Falkreath (the roleplay is that this was the first point in Skyrim to begin a knightly roam the land helping people type save), and the quests up to killing the first dragon are effectively skipped. I can still become Dovahkiin if I find a dragon on a word wall and defeat it to absorb the soul, but they otherwise shouldn't spawn. If I understand the instructions correctly, I also can not learn from word walls until I have my first soul. And, immediately upon absorbing my first soul I'll get the call from the Greybeards to go to High Hrothgar.
This is a fantastic mod, because I can either never become Dragonborn, or I can do it on accident via exploration and on my own terms, and there are start points for every inn, town, city, even out in the wilderness or at Orcish strongholds, in jails, etc. And, I can come preset with gear of a specific type of person from warrior to merchant or vagrant. Excellent variety.
The character can bulk up from combat and training followed by resting, meaning eventually you can go from the minimum weight to the top, though it would take a long time. And, if you don't rest you lose the day's progress towards bulking up.
A tweak to make the waters look a bit nicer.
Adds a spell that opens a version of the ShowRaceMenu, enabling you to change your character's appearance. Excellent from a roleplay perspective, if I want to scar the character, blind him, or grow him a beard or something. It's always seemed daft to me to pay out the ass for a beard on Dawnguard anyway.
iHud enables me to set the hud options to all be hidden, if I so desire, and only contextually appear. For instance, the crosshair is hidden unless I have a bow or am pointing it over an activator of some sorts. It also has allowed me to turn off the compass, although I can briefly glance at it if I wanted to by hitting X on the keyboard. Floating quest markers are also only visible if the compass is visible, meaning if I hit X or just left it on.

Discontinued ModsEdit

This is one of the many "alternate start" mods out there, enabling one to not sit in a carriage, almost be executed, and forced to become the Dragonborn. It's a great mod in its own right, but I've discontinued it in favor of Arthmoor's Alternate Start - Live Another Life. I may return to this one sometime, though as I do like the option to select gear I bring into each scenario, and that can have its merits depending on the character I want to play.

Unsorted ModsEdit

These are all of the mods I've currently got installed. The mods are sorted with LOOT. Every single one of them can be found on the Nexus, so search for it there if the name of the mod interests you.

Eventually I'll fluff out my mod page with descriptions, opinions, etc, but right now I can't be bothered.

The ones without numbers aren't installed and in the load order. This is copied direct from LOOT and accurate as of 8 November.
