I'm new to UESP as of 2014 but not to the Elder Scrolls, I remember playing Arena on my Uncle's computer as a child and that I was a Breton and an Archer because I was going through a Robin Hood phase... I remember the music being terrible.

Years later I remember a friend of mine playing Daggerfall on his computer but I didn't make any connection to Arena or play any more than one session, this time as a Breton Knight, because King Arthur was pretty cool too I guess...

When Morrowind came out I did make the connection to Arena and I was a Dunmer, House Telvanni, I didn't join Hlaalu even though I knew about the bug because I refused to be a part of the house Hlaalu trash... as you may have guessed I'm not the most sympathetic beast towards the Dunmer of Windhelm.

I played Oblivion but could not finish it because oblivion is the Derpiest looking thing man has created. Ever.

But I tried... Derpy grins and all to finish it. Imperial Crusader. In Skyrim I was thrilled by the overhaul in character models, animations and storylines, but I found exploration to be a little less interesting and I didn't like the lack of class selection. I've explored a few different races and classes, everything but Khajit (because screw Khajit) but I've never actually finished the main storyline because I'm a freaking perfectionist who has to do everything PERFECTLY. And also I've had a lot of other stuff going on. Surgery, Deaths in the family and Dark Souls being part of it.

I tried to support the Empire on my first play through but as I progressed through the story I rejected any idea of sympathizing with the imperial crybabies and their sinking ship empire that will almost certainly NOT make an appearance in the next sequel. My thoughts on the war can be summed up as an alteration of what Hadvar told me on my first day in Skyrim:

"What the Imperials like to forget is that they're the only reason the Thalmor are in Skyrim. And the White Gold Concordot is the only thing keeping the Nords from driving out the Thalmor and burning their damn embassy to the ground."

If Black Marsh and Hammerfell can take care of themselves, so can Skyrim. And no, Nord racism is nothing compared to Dunmer racism, I would know, I was a Telvanni.
