Beginning an ArbitrationEdit

To begin arbitration, editors must merely request such. If both parties are in agreement that arbitration is needed, they can either ask an agreed upon person to fill the role as arbitrator, allow someone that puts forward their own name to deal with the problem. Once again, this person must be agreed upon by all of the involved editors and/or administrators. The final agreement must be that the involved parties must make is that the decision of the arbitrator is final, unless it is over ridden by User:Daveh.

Goal of an ArbitrationEdit

The goal of arbitration is to an ongoing dispute about a user(s) or page.

Preliminary InjunctionsEdit

The Arbitrator has the right to pass Preliminary Injunctions against any parties that will have full effect during the entire process. All parties will be informed of such injunctions before agreeing to arbitration from a volunteer arbitrator and all parties agree to respect any injunctions passed by an agreed upon arbitrator.

The ProcessEdit

Following the mutual agreement between the involved parties, the arbitrator will create a page for the process. The involved parties will then have 1 week to prepare a first statement. After this initial statement, all the parties will have one week to respond to other parties arguments. The arbitrator will disregard any premature rebuttals contained in the first statements, as well as any rebuttals to rebuttals contained in the second statement. The second statement is meant to be nothing but a rebuttal to the other party’s (or parties’) involved, but new information will still be considered, though the arbitrator will keep in mind that such information was presented at a time when the other party couldn’t have a rebuttal.

Reaching a DecisionEdit

Once all the statements have been submitted, the Arbitrator will reach a decision within one week. During this week, the Arbitrator reserves the right to ask all parties questions pertaining to the statements, possible solutions, and anything else relevant to the situation. These questions may be in either formal (on the UESPwiki) or informal environments (IRC, e-mail). These questions will be minimal, and once again, the arbitrator will keep in mind the closed nature of these questions, when considering them.

The DecisionEdit

The Decision will include any findings of wrong doings by the involved parties, as well as any penalties. These penalties will be effective as soon as possible.
