Proposed Policy: Ongoing ProblemsEdit
Why do we need a policy about ongoing problems on the wiki?
- The rules that allow users a large amount of freedom also allow vandals and trolls a great deal of protection.
- These ongoing problems are disruptive to the wiki.
- These problems can cause active editors to leave.
What are ongoing problems?
Ongoing problems are problems that are unable to be solved by themselves. A vandal will get blocked because he will break the rules or good editor may solve a problem he has with another editor. An ongoing problem is where a person or persons are disruptive to the wiki and there is no way to solve the problem naturally.
What are we going to do about it?
I suggest giving the user/users a month to clean their act up or get the fuck out. If at the end of that month, no improvement has been made, then we give the user a block of 2 months or more.
