Black Gate is a dungeon encountered during the Main Quest in Arena. King Casik of Ebonheart promises to reveal the location of Dagoth-Ur if you retrieve a blacksmith's hammer created by the vanished Dwarves.
You can access the hammer by finding the sapphire key or ruby key. The sapphire key can be found on the body of an Iron Golem, located in front of one of the doors leading to the interior of the section protected by impenetrable walls.
