After studying the stone tablets you found in the Ayleid ruin beneath the Town, Saashi is able to decipher part of the text, describing a battle between the Sorcerer-King and his brother, Valentis. However, she needs the help of a scholar named Telarendil to translate the last sentence. Telarendil can be found studying in some nearby Ayleid ruins.
You will start in a forest with three skeleton guardians and two giant skeevers ahead of you, after dealing with them you should loot the chest nearby and then continue on. Just outside the cave entrance is a single necromancer, poison will work best on them.
Once you enter the cave you will find yourself in the Ayleid ruins, with a single skeleton guardian patrolling the first room. In this first room is the secret area, the lever is in the alcove area to the right, once activated it will open the secret door which is behind you if you are facing the lever. The secret room contains a single chest.
After looting the secret area, continue on and in the next hallway, you will encounter a necromancer and a skeleton guardian. The final room is at the end of this hallway, with Telarendil being surrounded by three skeleton guardians and a necromancer, once these have been dealt with, talk to him and he will ask you if you are also a scholar, you can then answer that you either became one recently or that you don't care much for it. Regardless of your choice, you can then ask him for help translating the stone tablets with him agreeing to do so, he then tells you that the Sorcerer-King was bound under the statue in Town by using an Elder Scroll. Telarendil will then tell you that he is coming to town with you as it is a major discovery.
