Golthog the Dark was a necromancer active in the late Third Era. Rumored to serve the infamous Underking,[1] Golthog commanded a tribe of goblins that helped him overtake Stonekeep, a fortress governed by a king with knights that Golthog and his goblins defeated.[2] Golthog and his goblins later raided the nearby major city of Rihad where they took a horde of treasures including a parchment that had a decipher from an Elder Scroll that spoke of the location of the fabled Fang Lair.[1] The Eternal Champion sought the piece of the Staff of Chaos found within Fang Lair and so Queen Blubamka of Rihad pointed the hero toward Stonekeep to retrieve the parchment that Golthog stole.[1] The Eternal Champion successfully retrieved the parchment although it's unknown if he had a direct confrontation with Golthog.[3] Queen Blubamka expressed hope that he was neutralized.[1]
