Hrotanda Vale is an Ayleid ruin near Chorrol on the edge of the Colovian Highlands, near the fringes the Great Forest and Heartlands of Cyrodiil.[1]
During the Three Banners War of 2E 582, the entrance to Hrotanda had been recently boarded off. The nearby Fort Rayles was in the controlled territory of the Daggerfall Covenant, and the Shadowed Path necromancers had murdered the owner of a tower just north of the ruins and set up a base of operations.[2]
Circa 3E 433, the ruins had opened and the subterranean passages occupied by a group of bandits.[3]
