Milyn Faram, a Telvanni lawman, was renowned for his expertise in the dark arts of necromancy,[1][2] as well as his groundbreaking contributions to the field of scroll enchanting. He was credited with developing a new method for imbuing scrolls of summoning with the power to call forth Daedric beings, based on a recovered Dwemer machine. This innovation marked a significant departure from the traditional practice of using parts of the creatures being summoned, such as their skin or heart, and enabled the creation of highly effective scrolls at a fraction of the cost.[3] Although his research was regarded as unconventional, it was also deemed to hold great potential.[4] In addition to being more cost-effective to create, Milyn Faram's scrolls of summoning also boasted a longer duration of the summoned Daedra's presence on Nirn, as compared to traditional capabilities of enchanted scrolls.[3][5]
HistoryEdit
Little is known of Milyn Faram's early life and background. He climbed the ranks of House Telvanni and atained the position of a Lawman within the house. However, in the year 3E 427, his headquarters in a tower at Odirniran was attacked by members of the House Hlaalu. His activities were deemed illegal and warranted hostile intervention.[4][6] This attack was a response to him taking Vedelea Othril,[7] a hireling of the House Hlaalu hostage.[1][3]
During the assault on Odirniran, a traveling adventurer of uncertain affiliations intervened. It is unclear whether the adventurer sided with Milyn Faram or House Hlaalu. The fate of Milyn Faram is uncertain, and it is unknown whether he survived the attack or not, and whether his prisoner was freed or not.[8][9] Despite the uncertainty surrounding Milyn's fate, it is known that he was responsible for the death of Farare Othril.[10]
He also possessed a collection of rare literature pertaining to the subject of vampires.[11]
