Oblivion talk:Ayleid Crown of Lindai
Verification Reference?Edit
Why does the 'Verification needed' bit on the article link to this (before now) non-existant page? It sounded like there was a discussion about the Crown respawning here. Legoless 19:18, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Armor ratingEdit
How can this thing have an armor rating of 0? If that's the case using the formula it could never have any armor rating by 0 and mine has a 2 currently. I would be a Procrastinator, but I keep putting it off. 03:42, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- This appears to be another discrepancy between the Construction Set and in-game behaviour. When I have any of the unmodified items, they always show an Armor Rating of 1. When repaired to 125%, I get an AR of 2. I can't explain it, but I'll see if I can get someone who's better versed in these things on the case. :) ‒ Robin Hood↝talk 20:38, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like the game treats a 0 AR as a 1 - presumably to stop items being treated as destroyed and auto-de-equipped. A 100% crown gives 1 protection and 125% gives 2, which is probably just an unintended side effect. Looks like this might be worth a note, but it's not a significant difference between game and CS, methinks. rpeh •T•C•E• 20:53, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- You might be right. I had thought there were legitimate items in the game with an AR of 0, but on re-examination, they're all either set to 1 or they also have AR 0 treated as 1. So maybe it's just that simple. ‒ Robin Hood↝talk 23:13, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Permanent Quest Item Stats GlitchEdit
Just wondering... If I used the permanent quest item glitch on this helm, would I also get the 1 armor rating and reduced spell effectiveness from the leather armor? --Tenraah 04:11, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
RemasterEdit
The broken version does not appear to be repairable in the Remaster. It doesn't appear to have an armor rating at all and does not show up in the list of items needing repair when you open the menu. BelowTheRoot (talk) 21:25, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
