The Bristleback Gatekeeper is a warded Mountain Bristleback that blocks the path to the Shade of the Grove. It's the second miniboss you'll face in the Hunter's Grotto. You need to kill the nearby Blessed Spriggan in order to harm it. The Gatekeeper is also accompanied by two alits.

- Gore
- A basic melee attack where the mountain bristleback gores you with its tusks, dealing minor physical damage..
- Uproot
- Bristleback Gatekeeper buries one of its tusk into the ground and flings it forward, causing a tremor to rush at you, dealing moderate physical damage.
- Thrash
- Bristleback Gatekeeper becomes enraged and starts glowing, and a conal AoE appears, before it charges forward at you, dealing moderate damage, knocking back and stunning targets in its wake. It will repeat this attack continuously until it is interrupted.
