Suspicious SilenceEdit

You will need to report Llaari of the Covenant infiltration inside the fort:

"Well met, my fine f'lah! I am Captain Llaari, commander of the forces stationed at Fort Arand.
We're primarily a training outpost. I had to put the recruits on alert with all these Covenant troops nearby. What do you have there?"
Captain Hjolm sent me to retrieve these plans from the enemy. When I returned, I found him dead.
"No! Dumac take those fetchers. Hjolm, my best officer, is dead. And these plans say Ahknara is here.
of all the ... we're not prepared for Ahknara. Not even slightly, traveler. Let's talk."

The Venom of AhknaraEdit

If you haven't started the quest yet, she will say:

"Ahknara's legend ends here!"

Speaking to her

"Assassins in the fort? It's unbelievable what these flat-heads are capable of.
If they're already within Arand's walls, we need to flush them out. And I think I know the way."
What's the plan? (Leads to quest dialogue)

Continuing on from her previous conversation, you will need to flush out the enemy assassins:

"Those s'wit assassins are stealthy and dangerous. They'll probably be practically invisible with all the places to hide in here.
We need to shed some light on this situation. I have just the thing: blinding light flasks!"
Where can I get some?
"The flasks are upstairs. Use them near the walls of the fort. I expect the killers will be lurking there.
Strikes-From-Shadows is leading a group of our more experienced troops. Meet up with him at the tower to the east when you're done."
Any assassins I find, I'll kill.

Asking her more about the challenge you're facing:

"F'lah, you'll find the flasks of blinding light upstairs. Use them to reveal the assassin infiltrators. Put an end to their plans."
What can you tell me about the fort? / Tell me about Fort Arand.
"Fort Arand was built a long time ago atop a set of Daedric ruins. I think the ruins were a prison for some fetching Daedra.
B'vek! Who can keep track of all that ancient lore? The fort is out of the way, so we use it to train troops."
What do you know about Ahknara?
"A few years back, a fetching big Aldmeri army invaded Hammerfell. They sacked a town and established some fortifications.
They sent messages home, and the Elves sent a shipload of reinforcements. The Redguards were quaking in their boots."
Did the reinforcements arrive?
"Not as such, f'lah. The Dominion made a mistake, y'see. They took captives from a Redguard ship they managed to get offshore from their new holdings.
That night, one of the Redguards broke free and murdered every last Elf aboard."
Ahknara?
"That's what they say, f'lah. Over the next few days, a bunch of Aldmeri troops in the fort disappeared.
A Redguard army rolled up to the fort, but didn't attack. It just sat there, stopping the Aldmeri from escaping Ahknara's venom."

Speaking to her after retrieving the flasks of blinding light:

"Use the flasks of blinding light to reveal those n'wah assassins and slay any you find.
When you're done, meet up with Strikes-from-Shadows at the tower to the east."

After examining the dead Pact soldier's body in the tower and before speaking to Strikes-from-Shadows:

"His soldiers are dead!
Head down the trapdoor in the tower to look for Strikes-from-Shadows. That old fetcher would never fall to the likes of those Covenant scum."

After speaking to Strikes-from-Shadows but haven't activate the pressure plates:

"Did you find Strikes-from-Shadows, my friend?"

After you activate the pressure plates but haven't spoke to Strikes-from-Shadows:

"Did you find Strikes-from-Shadows, my fine f'lah?"

After you speak to Strikes-from-Shadows and before confronting Ahknara:

"Have you found Ahknara? B'vek, I wish I could see the look on her face when she meets you in combat for the first time."

After dispatching Ahknara, inform her of the news:

"Have you dispatched Ahknara, that piece of nchow?"
Ahknara is dead.
"Ha! My fine f'lah! Well done. I'll see your name is not forgotten.
Ahknara, however, will be forgotten. The Dunmer reshape history to serve their needs. I'll remove any mention of her actions here, and I'll purge all records of that vile assassin."

After the quest, she honors the late Captain Hjolm.

"Captain Hjolm lost his life bravely defending the fort from that Covenant scum. He cut down a score of them, but eventually succumbed to his wounds.
That magnificent fetcher will be missed."

Some time after the quest:

"Honor to you and your house, f'lah. For all you've done, there's nothing I can do to repay you."
