Dormant Defeat is obtained by defeating the Magma Queen while never sealing a dormant volcano in Veteran Vateshran Hollows. The mechanic you should avoid using is Rock Toss synergy, left behind by destroyed Iron Atronachs - using it would let you aim the rock and throw it, sealing any volcanoes in its area of effect and also making them explode, stunning all enemies around.
