Late in the Second Empire period, Orsinium was briefly recognized as an Imperial province. Frostbreak Fortress was built to help defend it, but was abandoned after the Second Empire collapsed and Orsinium was once again destroyed.
Cold possesses this place. It strikes to the heart, a freezing chill not just of the world, but of the soul.

Frostbreak Fortress

Frostbreak Fortress is a fort found west of Graystone Quarry.

This long-abandoned Breton fortification now serves as the last remaining holdout of the Winterborn in the region. A siege from the Orcs of Orsinium, led by King Kurog himself, as well as several clan chiefs, is underway.

Ice-Heart's Lair is a chamber inside the fort.

• While in the fortress courtyard, explosive barrels thrown from catapults in the Orc siege camp will occasionally land and can damage and knock you down if you stand in the growing circular AoEs that appear.
• The Frostbreak Chalice relic for the House of Orsimer Glories can be found inside the southeastern tower of the fortress.
