Indanas is a Wood Elf and one of the few members remaining of the Driladan Clan found in the ruins of Shadows Crawl. She acts as the leader of the clan in the wake of their treethane's death.

Quest-Related EventsEdit
After being directed to speak to her about the Hollow attack:
- "Well met! If you're made of flesh and bone, I'm calling you a friend. These abominations, the Hollow, they've killed our Treethane and a dozen others ….
What in Oblivion are they and how do we get rid of them? Can you help us?" - I can help you, but I don't know any more than you do.
- "I was afraid you'd say that. Then all we know for sure is that the stony bastards are coming from the ground.
I was thinking of trying to collapse their holes, but I need someone to defend me while I do it. What you say? Are you up for it?" - I can protect you. Just tell me where we're going.
- "We're going where the holes are—there are a few big ones they're coming from. Collapsing them may not stop the Hollow completely, but hopefully it'll at least slow them down.
If not … well, at least we'll go down fighting! You lead the way."
Speak to her again and she'll continue:
- "Our clan's been through too much tragedy already. We lost our home, and now our Treethane. Damn it. We're trying to start a new life here. We can't let these Hollow stand in the way of that!"
- Why can't you just find somewhere else to settle?
- "Like where? You want us to move into a city? You want us to move into Marbruk?
Not a chance. We're true tree-sap people. We live in Valenwood. We always have and we always will."
If you exit out of the proximity of the settlement while she's accompanying you, she will say:
- Indanas: "There aren't any holes this way. I'm turning back."
Plug the last hole and she'll comment:
- Indanas: "That should slow them down. Quickly, we should get to the Clan Holdfast!"
Inside the camp, you'll find a Hollow Watchman near another hole:
- Hollow Watchman: "Children of the forest, these grounds are forbidden to you. I warn you again. Leave now, or suffer the consequences."
- Indanas: "We'll defend our new home to the death! Come back here you stony bastard!"
<The Hollow Watchman disappears into the hole and Indanas swiftly follows.>
After exiting the area, the Watchman will be found outside, having tied up Indanas, and requests to speak with you.
- "Apparently, he wants to talk to you now. Some insanity about the health of the forest and his directives.
I respect the Green Pact as much as the next Bosmer, but what he's talking about is something else entirely. Don't listen to him."
Speaking to her to see her thoughts on the matter:
- "I've never met the Wilderking, but I'm sure he wouldn't have created a bunch of monsters to indiscriminately kill innocent Bosmer.
Either way, my people have sacrificed enough already. We're staying here, even if that means we do so as corpses." - Are you sure the entire clan feels this way?
- "Look, if you decide this stone abomination is right and we shouldn't be allowed to stay here, I'll go back to the Clan Holdfast and we'll take a vote.
I warn you, though, the Drilladan [sic] are not a soft-skinned bunch. I think they'll choose to fight."
We'll have to take that risk. You can't settle here.
If you choose to side with the Watchman, they will say:
- Hollow Watchman: "Go. Convince your people to leave. It is your only choice."
- Indanas: "You shouldn't have done this. I guarantee the clan will want to fight."
Let me discuss this further with the Hollow Watchman.

If you sided with the Watchman, Indanas will return from the Clan Holdfast with her flame staff drawn and attack you:
- Indanas: "The clan voted to stay … and kill the one who betrayed us!"

However if you sided with the Bosmer, she'll remark:
- "You're doing the right thing. Go destroy that bastard so my people can live here in peace."
Once you've destroyed the Watchman, you can return to her at the Holdfast:
- "Our scouts say the Hollow have stopped fighting. Some have crumbled into dust. Others have simply wandered off.
I trust this means you destroyed the Watchman?" - Yes. You should be able to settle here now in peace.
- "There's no way I can properly thank you for what you've done. This is the first good luck my clan's had in months. This means we can stay here and start over.
Wherever you go, and whatever you do, you'll always be a champion of the Driladan." - Are you concerned about the Valenwood?
- "I have to admit. I do have some doubts now, but we'll petition the Wilderking for an audience.
When he hears of our plight, I know he'll confirm that we can settle here. He'll make sure the wood is protected too."
After the quest:
- "You watch. Someday, these lands will be called Driladan Valley. The Spinners will even tell stories about us, and how we defended our lands and preserved the clan."
