Lesuin

Lesuin is a Reachman who has been locked in a cage by the Worm Cult in Arcwind Point. Lesuin claims that he was confined after he freed a child who he was ordered to sacrifice, a girl who reminded him of one of his daughters, Bruca. Before his imprisonment, he joined Thallik Wormfather on his campaign in the Rift.

If you haven't spoken to Captain Hrosta yet, he will panic at your presence:

"Who are you? Get away from me!"

If you choose to use him as the sacrifice, when he is approached in his cage, Lesuin is desperate for aid:

"You aren't a cultist, are you? Please. Help me! They took me from my tribe!"
You're part of the tribe that attacked the Rift / I'm not sure I believe you.
"I was just following my chieftain! Wouldn't you? Thallik Wormfather promised us glory, everlasting life, and power it was all lies and ash.
I'm tired of war. Please, I just want to go home to my children."
Why did the Worm Cultists imprison you?/Why did Wormfather imprison you?
"I disobeyed him. There was a ritual. A … a child. She reminded me of my Bruca. I was supposed to sacrifice her for the cult.
I couldn't do it. I set that girl free, and I don't regret it!"

You will then be presented with a choice to deceive Lesuin into being sacrificed in the place of Captain Hrosta in order to facilitate your pursuit of Thallik Wormfather, free him, or continue to question him:

Follow me. I'll lead you to a way out. [Lie]
"Thank you! You won't regret this. I'll return to the Reach and live a good life."
Let's get you out of there.
I'll release you, though it'll cost the captain's life.
"I thought I'd die here and never see my girls again. I'm ashamed I was part of this foolish war.
I'll return to the Reach and live a good life. I'll never go to war again. Thank you!"
There's a portal to the east. Get out of here.

If you choose to deceive Lesuin, he will say several things as you lead him to the barrow.

Lesuin: "My girls will be so happy. They cried when I left."
Lesuin: "Bruca's the oldest. She's eight. Laine is five."
Lesuin: "You're a good person to free me like this."
Lesuin: "I'll live a good life. I promise."

Speaking with him again while you lead him to the circle:

"I don't know how to thank you. I don't know what my girls would do without me."

When you arrive at the ritual circle:

Lesuin: "Is... is this the way out?"

You will be presented with another choice once you arrive at the ritual circle. You may reconsider sacrificing him or going through with the plan to use him to open the door:

"I'm ready. How do we get out of here?"
Touch the gem in that circle to open a portal out of here. [Lie]
"All right. Thank you. I'm sorry again that I was part of this attack.
If you ever visit the Reach, maybe you can meet my girls."
I told you the wrong way. There's a portal to the east. Go. [Captain Hrosta dies]
"Thank you. You're a kind soul. I'll tell my girls about you … the foreigner who saved my life.
I'll raise my children right. We'll never trouble the Pact again."

If you sacrifice Lesuin, he approaches the circle.

Lesuin: "I can't wait to see my family."

He then touches the crystal.

Lesuin: "Noooo! Aaaaaaaaaaaaagh!"

If you have a change of heart but do not immediately speak to Lesuin, you may approach Captain Hrosta to deliberate his fate. After Captain Hrosta sacrifices herself, Lesuin will flee the scene:

Lesuin: "You lied! Stay away from me!"

Alternatively, if you choose the second option and release Lesuin without any ulterior motives, he will exit his cage and depart from Arcwind Point, forcing you to sacrifice Captain Hrosta in order to pursue Thallik.
