Quest-Related EventsEdit

Depending on the order of the completion of the first three quests, Nass' greeting will change as follows:

First quest being handed in:

"I hope you're not the sort to interrupt those busier than you for no reason.
Well? I don't have much time. Out with it."

Second Quest:

"I don't know whether your return here is the sign of good news or bad. Did you find another ill-fated entity under contract with me?"

Third Quest:

"You again? You seem to be making a habit of this. Should I be flattered or just assume that you're the one killing my associates?
I joke. Even if you were the one killing those who work for me, I'd still be flattered."

A Gem of a MysteryEdit

You can find the Scamp Mikget's body near Traitor's Ascent in the Deadlands. After reading his letter, you can retrieve the White Planestone from his pack and bring it to Nass.

I found this planestone near Mikget's corpse.
"Corpse? Hmm. Can't say that I'm surprised. Mikget continues to be too uncoordinated for retrievals. He tries his best, but I fear it will be a few more millennia before he is able to move with grace or stealth."
You expected him to die?
"It won't be a lasting death. Maybe he will learn something from this that he did not from every death he has suffered before.
You said you have something from his possessions?"
Yes, this planestone.

Leaving and returning to the conversation before completing the quest:

"I don't know whether your return here is the sign of good news or bad. Did you find another ill-fated entity under contract with me?"
Here, I found this near the body of Mikget.
"Ah, so Mikget wasn't completely useless. Madam Whim won't be totally displeased with his performance.
For his lack of follow through, I'll pay Mikget a portion of the agreed upon earnings. You have rightful claim to the rest. Here."

Courier's FollyEdit

You can find Telofasa body in the Sever. Upon reading her letter you find that she left the item in False Martyrs' Folly. After retrieving the Cerulean Planestone you can bring it to Nass.

I found Telofasa's body with a diary saying she'd left this planestone in the False Martyrs' Folly.
"Telofasa is dead? Again? Zzavfa! It's been less than a century since the last time she died. With a short span like that, it will be hard to hire her again.
You said you found her in the False Martyrs' Folly?"
The planestone was in the Folly, Telofasa was not.

Leaving and returning to the conversation before completing the quest:

"I employed a few prospective creatures to retrieve more of these planestones, but given how you discovered the last creature I sent … I do not have high hopes.
If you come across more ill-fated employees please bring the planestones to me."
I have the gem Telofasa was sent to retrieve.
"Predictable. She always makes things harder for herself. Still, she managed to find it, perhaps she does display some aptitude. I may hire her again when she reforms.
Mortal, take this as payment for your efforts and go with Madam Whim's gratitude."

Robhir's Final DeliveryEdit

While in the Shambles you can come across the body of Robhir and his final letter. After retrieving the Red Planestone from his pack, you can bring the item to Nass.

I found this gem near the body of someone named Robhir.
"I am … not shocked by this news. Mortals do not always know when to back away. This makes them exceptional employees, but does decrease their already limited longevity.
You said you have the gem he was sent to retrieve?"
Yes, here it is.
"That's the trouble with mortals. Many don't have the experience to survive on the planes.
Here. Someone should have the gold that was set aside for Robhir."

Leaving and returning to the conversation before completing the quest:

"Ah. I expect this is you posturing for payment. Very well, you have done me a service, I'll repay you."
Here, take the gemstone. (Lead to quest completion dialogue)

Uxark's TreasureEdit

Once you have completed the above three quests, Nass will have her own request for you.

"You're the most reliable mortal I have ever worked with outside of official capacities.
Would you like to take on a contract with me? It'll be the culmination to all you've done so far."
What do you need help with?
"I suppose it's time to tell you that the planestones you collected are not some baubles valuable only for their rarity.
When brought together in a particular location, they open a portal to a secret lair where Uxark hid her treasure."
Who is Uxark?
"A legendary Xivilai warrior. Her crew took the location of their greatest treasure to Oblivion.
But one of their number just returned. Skoedal is in Wretched Spire. Get the portal's location from him, retrieve the treasure, and I'll reward you."
I'll find Uxark's treasure for you.

Once you agree to help, you can ask some questions about the job:

"I don't have time for dawdlers. Get the location of the portal from Skoedal and retrieve Uxark's hidden treasure."
What is Uxark's Treasure?
"No one knows. Daedra have sought it for centuries. But with the treasure hidden away and Uxark's whole clan sent to float formlessly between the stars, there wasn't anyone who could talk about it."
What do you think it is?
"How like a mortal to ask a question like that.
The treasure itself is an enigma, it only retains its value when the contents are unknown. Once it's opened, the items inside become worthless."
If you don't know what the treasure is, why do you want it?
"Why wouldn't we want to possess such a powerful mystery?
The opportunity to recover Uxark's treasure presented itself, Skoedal is back from Oblivion, and it won't be long before the rest of Uxark's clan returns too. This is the moment."
How did Uxark amass the treasure?
"Uxark made many treasure hoards. She conquered the armies of Shaeofasa Bloodletter and lived after fighting Molag Bal.
Uxark slew Koth twenty times with his own war axe and collected a treasury larger than any other from the ashes of Arms Reach."
Is that the treasure you've sent me to retrieve?
"Blood and coins, no. The Arms Reach treasure has been greatly cataloged.
Uxark only hinted at this one on her death bed. She said there was a plane within a plane where she hid the most resplendent treasure known to immortality."
How did you find Skoedal?
"I am not obligated to tell you that. Consider my place of work and extrapolate the answer from those lines of thought.
Discretion is a staple of Madam Whim's business, I will not give away the sources or avenues of my information that quickly."

Once you have found Skoedal and had him tell you the location of the treasure, you can go to the that place and use the planestones to gain access to the hiding place. With the treasure in hand you can return to Nass in Fargrave.

"I only have time for those who succeed. You better not be here to bother me with your company."
I found the lost treasure.
"I…I am shocked. Madam Whim has spoken about this treasure for centuries and now I'm holding it. This will be the most unique item in our care.
Here, take your reward. Mortal lives are notoriously short, but I hope yours won't be"

Once you have completed the quest, Nass will place the treasure box onto the ground. A large butterfly appears out of it to Nass' delight:

Nass: "Oh, what were you doing in there? Madam Whim will be pleased with your iridescence."

With the quest complete, you can talk to Nass about what Skoedal told you. This dialogue can be found below.

Hope Springs EternalEdit

Nass in Leyawiin Castle

If you completed Nass' quests before finishing the story questline, Nass will appear in Leyawiin Castle after your banishment of Mehrunes Dagon from Nirn:

"I knew you were capable, mortal. But the more I speak to the individuals gathered here, the more I hear about your exploits."

Speaking to her again after completing the quest:

"I am going to find some of those pastries you mortals rave about. I might as well try to make sense of something and I have more of a chance of understanding them, than I do your accomplishments."

DialogueEdit

Speaking with Nass before starting or completing one of her related quests:

"It's rather rude of you to interrupt someone who is clearly quite busy."

Once you have completed one of the quests, she will open up a bit and you can ask some questions:

"I employed a few prospective creatures to retrieve more of these planestones, but given how you discovered the last creature I sent … I do not have high hopes.
If you come across more ill-fated employees please bring the planestones to me."
Why do you want the planestone?
"I am under no obligation to explain that to you. We have no dealings, no contract or agreements. The only thing that ties us is that you returned what was lost. You are an admirable mortal, do not misunderstand me. But Madam Whim cannot favor you."
Who is Madam Whim?
"Madam Whim provides a service where she offers solutions to the problems of others. I would give specifics, but that is against our confidentiality agreement. All you need to know is that the service she performs for Fargrave is legendary."
How are you connected to Madam Whim?
"I am one of her assistants. Hezehk is another. We handle clients with less complicated problems so that she can focus her attention on more prestigious or troubling cases."
I have questions about your employees. / I have questions.
"I suspected that might be the case. I have yet to meet a mortal who could curb their inquisitive nature."
Why did you hire Robhir?
"I have no delusions about anyone's chances of survival out in the Deadlands, mortal or otherwise. Madam Whim only pays individuals for completed deliveries. There was no harm in letting a mortal attempt it."
Was Robhir the only one you sent after the planestone?
"I sent many individuals after many planestones. I would've been foolish not to.
The Deadlands are not …. civilized, for lack of a more accurate description. Even Daedra do not make it out of that realm intact."
Why would Telofasa make this delivery harder for herself?
"She foolishly allowed her boredom to overrule her good sense and died because of it. That is not an uncommon occurrence among certain Daedra. Our boredom is often fatal."
Daedra get bored?
"It doesn't happen to everyone. Ogrims almost never experience the tortures of boredom. But, many Daedra do suffer from the stagnant nature of our existences."
How are you stagnant?
"We are eternal and unchanging. After eons of experience, there is nothing new. I curb this plight with my involvement with Madame Whim's enterprise. My tasks are varied and my mind is kept busy by solving problems garnered throughout the realms."
So, you don't get bored?
"I have suffered due to my own nature. I went to great lengths to ensure I wouldn't anymore. And, I will do everything it is possible to do in order to ensure I do not return to the state I was in before working for Madam Whim."
What did you mean when you said that Mikget would come back?
"Mortals' lives are finite. You expire and then that is all. Daedra follow different cycles."
What are the cycles?
"Existence. Death. Reformation. It continues from there. Reforming in Oblivion can take some time, but any Daedra who is killed will return to walk the planes."
What's reforming like?
"I've heard it sounds a lot like waking up bleary-eyed in a misty morning. Or like a hangover.
All I can say is that being killed is an annoyance and an indignity that most Daedra would rather not undergo."

After you have completed Uxark's Treasure, Nass dialogue will change to the below:

"Neither Madam Whim or I will forget the service you've done for us. Not even after the light has left your body and you've turned to dust."
Skoedal said he was going to kill you and Madam Whim once Uxark and the rest of her clan return.
"I expect nothing less.
I'm going to enjoy witnessing their attempts to overcome our security measures. Whenever that confrontation occurs, it will be enlightening."
Do you have any idea what the treasure is?
"No. The worth of Uxark's Hidden Treasure's is dependent on the mystery of what it is. Even speculating about what is in this container could lower its price.
You'd be wise to stop with that line of thought."
What will you do now that you have Uxark's Treasure?
"Move onto my next assignment. I already have multiple Daedra and a few potentially qualified mortals lined up for retrievals.
We'll see if any of them are up to the task."
Are all of the jobs you handle so dangerous?
"Danger is a matter of perspective. The price of a life is cheap when most return from Oblivion no worse for the trip.
If that bothers you … hopefully you'll never have cause to need my or Madam Whim's assistance."
