Sentinel Aksalaz

Sentinel Aksalaz is a ^race? and the final secret boss of Black Drake Villa. To face him, your group must defeat the three other optional bosses, the Avatars of Zeal, Vigor, and Fortitude, in addition to the main three boss encounters. Furthermore, each player must collect at least 25 Avatar Fragments, found throughout the dungeon.

If your group fulfills these requirements, each player then needs to activate the Avatar Artifact found at the side of the Athenaeum, which will summon Sentinel Aksalaz in the central pit.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit

Axe Swing

A basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.

Uppercut

Sentinel Aksalaz rears his axe and strikes hard, dealing massive physical damage and knocking you back. This attack can be blocked.

Storm Swing

Sentinel Aksalaz cleaves with his axe, sending out three small ice storms forward, indicated by small circular AoEs, dealing high frost damage and snaring you.

Frost Eruption

Sentinel Aksalaz curls up into himself as he prepares to unleash a large explosion, as a circular AoE slowly fills almost the entirety of the arena, dealing massive frost damage.

Roving Storms

Occasionally, Sentinel Aksalaz will summon ice storms that will circle the outer edge of the arena, indicated by circular AoEs, dealing high frost damage.

Summon Avatar

At 75%, Sentinel Aksalaz summons a weaker version of the Avatar of Zeal. At 55%, the same with the Avatar of Vigor. And finally at 30%, the Avatar of Fortitude.

Summon Frostkin

Throughout the fight, weak Frostkin will appear in the arena to assist Sentinel Aksalaz.

DialogueEdit

When a player transforms into an Ice Avatar:

Voice on the Wind: "Find me mortal. Free me."

Voice on the Wind: "I shall watch how you use my power."

Voice on the Wind: "Could you be my freedom?"

Voice on the Wind: "Do you even know what you seek?"

Voice on the Wind: "A step even closer to my release."

After defeating his first Avatar:

Voice on the Wind: "Who brings me forth after an eternity?"

After defeating his second Avatar:

Voice on the Wind: "You accept my might … but are you worthy of it?"

After defeating his third Avatar:

Voice on the Wind: "The circle is complete. Your final test awaits."

After touching his last Avatar Artifact, causing him to appear and challenge you:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Through your wisdom, you have earned the right to challenge me. I shall not go easy."

Combat DialogueEdit

Idling before combat:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "I waited for eternity. I can do so for longer."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "You summoned me and now you must fight."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Is now the time? Will you be the ones?"

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Patience. Something few mortals possess."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "The opportunity is now. Seize your fate."

Starting combat:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "I shall find that point where you break."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Let us see what challenge you offer me."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "A test of your limits to determine your worth."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "My eternal duty lies in killing those who seek me."

Summoning his Avatar of Zeal:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "The test intensifies. Go beyond your limits."

Summoning his Avatar of Vigor:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "This does not end until I am satisfied!"

Summoning his Avatar of Fortitude:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "An end approaches, but whose?"

Group wipe:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "You are not the one I seek."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "All this effort for naught."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Not what I wished for, mortals."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "An eternity of disappointment."

He will give you only five chances to defeat him. Each time your group resurrects he'll say:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "That's one. True warriors stand again rather than stay on the ground."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Now two battles lost. Will you seek redemption for your failure?"

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Three failures. I begin to fear I shall not find release this day."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Four. I offer a final chance, mortals. Please—do not make me regret this."

Sentinel Aksalaz: "Enough. I rescind my offer of power. Perhaps we will meet again when you are ready."

When he dies:

Sentinel Aksalaz: "You … are worthy. At last … I am free."
