Taebod the Gatekeeper is a xivkyn champion found in the Imperial Sewers. She can be found in the lower level of an excavation site in the Wavering Veil, levitating and casting a spell in front of a portal.
Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Quick Strike
- Basic melee attack dealing moderate physical damage.
- Shock
- Basic ranged attack dealing moderate shock damage.
- Thunder Hammer
- Taebod slams her hammer into the ground and sends a shockwave of lightning forward, as indicated by a red cone dealing high shock damage.
- Storm Wave/Storm Pulse
- Taebod bends down for a moment before throwing her hand in the air, sending out five thunder circle AoEs outward from her position dealing high shock damage.
- Summon Winged Twilight
- Taebod summons two winged twilights from the large portal before her that attack you. If you kill the winged twilights, Taebod will resummon then soon after. The winged twilights die when Taebod is defeated.
- Group Healing/Ward
- Taebod commands one Winged Twilight to heal her and she gets a damage shield. The Winged Twilight uses the "Empower" ability which heals Taebod with 22 ticks of 7,085 Health over time, so 155,870 Health in total. You can interrupt the winged twilight from healing Taebod.
- Xivkyn Charge
- If the target is far from Taebod, she can use a Critical Charge-like ability which makes her dash to them, dealing high physical damage and stunning them for 3 seconds.

When you encounter her for the first time:
- "Come to gaze upon my handiwork, mortal?"
- "The veil will be torn. You will not stop us!"
When you encounter her afterwards:
- "You will perish in flame—you and all your kind!"
- "Come to feel my wrath again, fool?"
- "We meet again ...."
When she asks a winged twilight to restore her:
- "I demand restoration!"
- "Now, restore me!"
- "Serve me, my minions!"
BugsEdit
- Sometimes her "Summon Winged Twilight" ability breaks and fails to summon them which makes her do nothing for a few seconds before resuming attacking. ?
- "Storm Wave" / "Storm Pulse" very often only deal about 10% of the intended damage. ?
