Malthorc is a giant wereboar found trapped in crystal inside Taliesinntara's Sacred Depths. In the past he was a witch-warrior of the Taliesinn and devotee of Druabith's Sun Cult, though now he serves as leader of the Moon Cult.
This changed when he contracted Sanies Aprum after hunting and killing a wereboar, leading to his conversion into a wereboar. Secretly, he began converting the strongest of the Taliesinn's warriors into the Chosen of Malthorc, wereboars pledged to the White Moon of his newly founded Moon Cult. Druabith, in response to his betrayal, sent her devoted warriors to kill him. When they failed, she instead used her blood magic to trapped him in crystal deep in the depths of Taliesinntara, where he remains to this day.
Though immobile, Malthorc was still able contact members of his Moon Cult. He commanded them to bring him more warriors for him to turn in his chosen, such as the recently turned Ghealach. He hopes that one day there will be a large enough army of his chosen that they will be able to conquer not just the Taliesinn, but the entirety of the Reach as well.
