Quick WalkthroughEdit

  1. Read the Matriarch's note
  2. Read Priest Arthamis' Note
  3. Use the mannequins to solve the armory room puzzle. The solution (left to right) is: Mask of Sotha Sil, Mask of Almalexia, Mask of Vivec.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

After dealing with the ash zombie attack, speak to the Matriarch:

Is there anything I can do to stop these attacks?
"Of course. It's all in this note."

She will then hand you a note. After reading it you will have to head to the armory and pick up and read Priest Arthamis' Note.

Armory PuzzleEdit

Correct order

The solution for the armory puzzle can be deduced from the banner above the locked gate. The solution (left to right) is: Mask of Sotha Sil, Mask of Almalexia, Mask of Vivec. The other mannequins are irrelevant.

Open the chest to find Hopesfire and Erden Relvel's note, read the note and you will have to then travel to the graveyard of Tel Mithryn.

You will have to kill the ash zombies and Erden Relvel, you can then loot his body for the Mask of Dagoth Ur, the Robe of the Lich and a Fahlbtharz Forge Gem.

BugsEdit

  • Just adding the masks to the mannequins may not result in the door opening. In this case, removing the other armor from one or more of the mannequins may trigger the door to open.

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ccASVSSE001_QuestD stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest ccASVSSE001_QuestD.
