Stalhrim Heavy Armor missing from most listsEdit

I was just looking up how stalhrim heavy armor compares to the other armors in the game when I noticed that it's missing from every list on this page except for the list near the middle of the page that shows the different armors with pictures and weight/value/armor ratings. Just thought I should let you guys know. — Unsigned comment by 216.49.33.85 (talk) at 16:54 on 3 November 2016‎

You're going to have to be more specific, because as far as I can tell, the only list its missing from is the one at the top which is concerned solely with its perk along the smithing skilline. The heavy armor is listed amongst the lists divided by armor slot, but images are not among the images at the bottom displaying them worn by a character. I can't see any list that concerns Stalhrim that leaves it out. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:50, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
Imperial Armor, light and heavy, is entirely absent as well, except for the one entry > Steel Imperial Bracers (which is not what they are called in game). Steel shin boots look like imperial heavy, but again, no item matching that name exists in game. — Unsigned comment by 24.68.124.234 (talk) at 03:58 on 14 October 2017
I have no idea why but these items seem to have their own page under Specialty Gear — Unsigned comment by Revilrad (talkcontribs) at 18:07 on 19 November 2021

A question about armor set and matching set bonusEdit

Hello. There is an information like this at the armor page: "‡ Fur Boots and Fur Gauntlets count as Stormcloak/guard equipment, and therefore do not give the Matching Set bonus if worn with other fur equipment."

So, which armor pieces are suit for me if I am wearing fur armor and I want matching set bonus?

Thank you. — Unsigned comment by 78.160.90.64 (talk) on Nov 15 2017

Survival Mode Warmth StatEdit

So the Creation Club Survival Mode adds freezing to the game, but some armors and clothing are either better or worse at protecting you from cold. I'd like to add this information to the individual armor pages, ideally integrated with the templates and/or lists (where applicable). Anyone have any objections or suggestions? -Caraamon (talk) 03:24, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

I don't have a problem. In fact, I came to the main page hoping to find that info. I was thinking the same thing (making a list and adding it). I'm playing on the PS4 so it would take a while so if you have the data, go for it! (Philbert) 72.131.11.225 04:02, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Creation Club AdditionsEdit

I think there's a need to add Creation Club armor types to this article and the armor template. I'd like to go ahead an start doing that myself, but I tend to mess up tables, and I'm not clear on whether some of the new armors are heavy or light. --220.233.107.5 12:26, 20 January 2020 (GMT)

Additional jewelry armor to be added in noteEdit

Would it be worth noting at the end of the top section "In addition to standard pieces of armor..." that there is also the DIADEM OF THE SAVANT which is a circlet that is considered Light Armor?

"In addition to standard pieces of armor, one circlet and two necklaces in the game provide an armor bonus: the Diadem of the Savant, the Locket of Saint JiubDG, and the Amulet of Articulation."Chrisjburt (talk) 16:35, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Suggest tiny syntax correction to DR ending formulaEdit

Greetings everyone,

What I call the "DR ending formula" is currently shown as : Damage reduction percentage = displayed armor rating × 0.12 + 3.00 × amount of pieces worn.

I was following this mathematical formula literally, but the formula only works once I realize that it actually must be understood as (3.00 x number of amount worn). The parentheses () totally change the result for anyone who does the math literally as was shown.

Simple example :

  • 200 x 0.12 +3 x 4 pieces = 108% DR
  • 200 x 0.12 + (3 x 4 pieces) = 36% DR

The rest of the page follows the guideline of placing between ( ) things that must be added up by themselves first.

I suggest the line be rewritten as : Damage reduction percentage = displayed armor rating × 0.12 + (3.00 × number of pieces worn). — Unsigned comment by Baraz (talkcontribs) at 19:34 on 19 January 2022

EDIT : I applied the proper math syntax described below. — Unsigned comment by Baraz (talkcontribs) at 23:58 on 23 January 2022
I am curious how the champions tunic added by the switch is considered, is it 3 pieces of armor or 1? also does the diadem of the savant, locket of Saint Juib and amulet of articulation add invisible 25 armor as well? another question I have is how backpacks and the fastened shield of the crusader effect armor ratings (and other non armor pieces like general tullius' armor and the fine armguards) curious if anybody would be able to test. -Nophlast Feb 26th 2024 6:14pm MST

Bug in Heavy Armor Class CCEdit

I am currently testing out a bug that causes the character to drift backwards for several feet with no input from controls. Occasionally the character drifts forward. This only occurred after a combined armor rating of 1200 was reached. Exchanging the armor does not remove the armor stat - it remains at 1200. Character drift remains evident. Removing the armor causes an armor rating of 50 to remain but solves the drift problem. Character drift is so bad it renders the game mostly unplayable. Isolated through this method that it is not a hardware problem.

Playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch Lite. Looking for verification on other platforms.

Thank you. FrostSquid (talk) 00:43, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

Stick calibration from the Switch settings menu can mostly fix the problem. Yes, I called Nintendo Tech Support. FrostSquid (talk) 15:11, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

May be a braindead questionEdit

Just to be clear BASE ARMOR RATING is the armor rating when the associated skill is set to 0 and you have no other altering effects correct? — Unsigned comment by Nophlast (talkcontribs) at 01:06 on 27 February 2024

Imperial Armours?Edit

Why aren't they on the list? Is it because they're faction-specific, like the guard\ Stormcloak armours, which are also not here? Then why include Thalmor, Vampire, and Dawnguard armours?--188.237.66.133 19:41, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
