Detailed WalkthroughEdit

On approaching Volenfaryon, you will be warned that while you are free to travel almost anywhere in the complex, you should not enter the Propylon Chamber and disturb the Elder Sister there. This of course is exactly what you should do. Enter the chamber and speak to Agarinnu, the Mabrigash there. She will be enraged at your presence, but you may offer her your services, in which case she will accept. Agarinnu wishes the wizard of Sehutu cave killed, as the raids by his undead have been causing trouble for inhabitants of Volenfaryon.

Sehutu is a short walk southwest from Volenfaryon, up the slope along a path lined with purple crystals. You will meet an individual named Vildaryn Terano at the end of the path. Speaking to him is optional, but if you do so he will name the wizard as Master Bel-Betu. He'll swear to beat you to finding the wizard.

Navigating SehutuEdit

Enter Sehutu. It is a labyrinth of passages, but the fastest route from the circular chamber with the seven doors is to take the south exit three times. For example:

  1. Standing at the entrance to the circular chamber, take the third door to your right, which should teleport you next to a chest.
  2. Take the southern exit to arrive in an L-shaped room.
  3. Take the southern exit again to enter the Sanctum of Souls.

Master Bel-BetuEdit

As you approach Bel-Betu's hideout, you will be greeted by a congratulatory voice, who will invite you to come and speak with him in his Sanctum of Souls. You can honor his wishes, in which case approach the crystal in the northern chamber, and speak to it. This is where Bel-Betu's consciousness resides, or at least, so he claims. Bel-Betu has a task for you, if you choose to accept. Doing so will begin Getting Rid of Vildaryn Terano, the first of a series of quests. Pursuing these errands will eventually give you access to Master Bel-Betu's body, which will permit you to kill him if you wish.

If you wish to murder the master, but do not wish to wait, then a thorough search of his crystal chamber will reveal a level 100 trapdoor to Sehutu's Tabernacle, where lies the mummy of the mer that was once Bel-Betu. A magical barrier blocks the way, and you will need 300 Magicka to bypass it. Once through, activating the mummy will give you the option to kill Bel Betu. You may then return to Agarinnu in Volenfaryon to be rewarded with a powerful restore fatigue spell.

NotesEdit

  • If you choose to assist Master Bel-Betu rather than kill him at any point during his questline, then this quest will ultimately be completed upon finishing his quest chain, although with no reward from the mabrigash.

She mentioned that they have a conflict with a wizard, who currently resides in Sehutu cave, located just southwest of their camp, and that I could help by getting rid of him.
20 I found the "Wizard" in the Sanctum of Sehutu.
30 I removed Bel-Betu's heart from his mummy. The wizard of Sehutu is no more.
