Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Ferdogest Ronator stands inside the Grand Bazaar of Narsis, by its northern exit. He believes he has been pickpocketed, and seeks your help in finding his missing signet ring - fearing to go back to where he lost it in case he is targeted again. He describes his route as follows:
"I started downstairs, first speaking to the Nord alchemist. I had a long conversation with the Dres merchant, and then I had a bite to eat in the dining area. I had a look at the downstairs clothier, but I didn't buy anything from her. I browsed the bookshop on the mid-level, and then I came up here. I had a look at the clothes up here, and then it was when I was speaking to the merchant from back west, Xastos, that I discovered that my ring was missing."
Enter the Underground portion of the Grand Bazaar, and ask around the merchants listed. You'll find that the ring apparently went missing after Ferdogest spoke to Harold Elk-Cleave in the dining area. Harold mentions handing over a plate to Ferdogest at the same time he noticed the ring. It's a clue to check around the dining tables in front of Harold. You'll find the ring under the southeastern table. It's easily spotted from the table's southern side.
Once you have it, report to Ferdogest. You can either pretend that you could not find the ring (and thus keep it) or else hand it over for 100 gold.
