Quick WalkthroughEdit

1. As a vampire, speak to Gilimeg in Narsis' Guild of Mages about animal vampirism.
2. Speak to Gilimeg after 24 hours.
3. Use Vampire Touch on the Scrib and the Lab Rat.
4. Talk to Gilimeg and either:
   • Lie (rewards Potion of Cure Paralyzation).
   • Tell the truth (rewards nothing).

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

If, while afflicted with the vampiric condition, you happen into the laboratories area of Narsis's Guild of Mages, speak to Gilimeg. He wants help with experiments on animal vampirism - specifically in proving that the range of life that can be afflicted with vampirism is wider than currently believed. He'll ask you to return the next day to conduct the experiment, so leave the area and return after 24 hours have passed. A cage will have been set up containing a Scrib and a Lab Rat.

Speak to Gilimeg. He'll instruct you to use your Vampire Touch on the creatures. As the Scrib has 8 pts of health and the Lab Rat 10 pts, they will not survive. Talk to Gilimeg once you've used your Vampire Touch on both. He'll be quite annoyed. You can either lie to him that the animals are still alive but are just displaying the effects of the disease differently (an interesting hypothesis given the scrib's current lack of head), or tell him the truth that the animals were too weak to survive your touch. Only the lie garners any reward - a single Potion of Cure Paralyzation.

20		It has been a day since I agreed to help Gilimeg with his animal vampirism experiment. He said that he would have things prepared for it by now.
30		Gilimeg has caged a scrib and a rat. He would like me to use my Vampire Touch on the animals until they become infected with porphyric hemophilia.
100	Finishes quest	Gilimeg was enraged that the animals died without being infected. He did not reward me.
101	Finishes quest	Although the animals died without being infected, I lied to Gilimeg that the experiment succeeded and the conversion process is simply different for animals. He rewarded me with a single potion of cure paralyzation.
102	Finishes quest	Gilimeg was disappointed, but intrigued, to hear that I'd cured my vampirism.
103	Finishes quest	Gilimeg is dead.
