Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Through the Latest Rumors topic you'll hear about Nedim Fareloth and how he has not been seen in a while, suggesting his neighbor Rilam Arelas may know more. You'll find her outside her house in the Charnelworks district, and is apparently fed up with Nedim's behavior. He has locked himself in, and she suspects he has gotten himself drunk again. If you offer to help she'll give you a spare key to his place and wish you luck.
Once you enter Nedim's home, you'll find that Rilam may be more right than she realizes. Not only is he suffering from a bad hangover, but the ancestor spirits are scolding him from beyond as you can hear them in the room. Nedim asks you to give him some time to sober up. Upon talking with Rilam again she will suggest that you get him out of the house for some fresh air, recommending taking him to his favorite spot, the Shrine of Lovers, just west of town.
Go back in to talk with Nedim, and he'll note that you likely had talked with Rilam, and that she's not talking to him anymore, deservedly so. He'll admit that getting out would probably do him some good, and ask you to help him find a shirt before going out. You'll find his shirt on the floor on the opposite side of the room from him. Once you give him the shirt, he puts it on and is ready (although reluctantly) to follow you out. If you stop to talk with Rilam on the way she'll notice that you got Nedim out of the house, and hopes the walk helps.
The Shrine of Lovers is not a long walk. Go up the ramp at the west end of the district and follow the causeway out of town. Once you reach ground again, watch for a lamppost on the right. Take a right here, and follow the path to the end. Speak with Nedim and he'll realize that this actually was a good idea and is starting to feel better, deciding to stay meditate for awhile.
Return to Rilam and she'll thank you for helping Nedim out, hopeful that this time he'll make a longer-lasting change. She offers you your choice between hackle-lo leaf and Almsivi Intervention scrolls.
