Detailed WalkthroughEdit
The Missing SonEdit
Mervur Moryn, son of Fendel and Llaala Moryn, left Bodrum several weeks ago to hunt kagouti. No one has heard from him since and his parents are worried. Ask either of his parents about their missing son to be be given the quest to return him to them. They will tell you he usually does his hunting south of town, near the border of the Armun Ashlands.
If you leave Bodrum by the south western gate and follow the road south you will eventually reach the bridge of Mvelthngth-Schel. Turning west after going under the bridge leads you to a collapsed path into the Armun Ashlands. Here you can find a Torn Journal Page as well as Mervur's Chitin Shortsword next to a bloodstained rock. Reading the journal page will reveal that Mervur was killed by a vampire and that his body has been cremated. Returning either or both of these items to Bodrum will grant you a +10 disposition increase and reveal that you are not the first adventurer the Moryns asked to find their missing son.
A Knight of MaraEdit
A wandering Breton by the name of Amandin Platier offered his services to the Moryn family in finding Mervur. After finding and cremating Mervur's body, he did not return straight to Bodrum, however. Instead, he continued into the Armun Ashlands to find the vampire responsible. The first three days after starting the quest, Amandin can be found outside the Madalvel Ancestral Tomb, due north of Ishanuran Camp. Here you can help him defeat the vampire Vrashammu and convince him to give you Mervur's ashes.
After the vampire is defeated (with or without your intervention,) Amandin will get lost in the Ashlands. If none of the ashlanders at Ernabapalit Camp are dead, they will capture him after two days. Once captured, you can convince Yakasamshi Mashda to release him or you can kill his captors. When Amandin is free, you can escort him to nearby Arvud or walk him back to Bodrum. Alternatively you can leave him be and he will escape after two days.
If you let Amandin continue on his way, he will stop by the smith in Menaan and make his way through Omaynis before returning to Bodrum.
Returning the AshesEdit
If you convince Amandin to let you carry Mervur's ashes back to his parents, they will reward you with two pieces of Raw Glass and +3 reputation with the Temple. If instead you escort Amandin to them, they will give you a single piece of Raw Glass and +2 reputation with the Temple. If Amandin returns the ashes on his own, you will receive their thanks and nothing else. If you tarry in returning the ashes after convincing Amandin, he will eventually track you down and demand that you hand him the ashes.

- Locals at the Ishanuran Camp as well as the towns of Arvud, Menaan, and Omaynis can be asked if Amandin Platier is in town
- This quest will resolve itself without your intervention eventually
