Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Cerul Arnem runs an spell store in Port Telvannis, but if you visit it and try to buy anything from him, you'll run into a little trouble: he can't hear anybody because of an immense cacophony inaudible to anyone else.

Since you can't do business with Cerul, ask around town to find out if anybody else knows what's going on. Eventually someone will tell you that Cerul and Turosi Salvel have a bitter rivalry. As they have a similar trade, and each claim to be better than the other, they often resort to playing practical jokes to the amusement of the rest of town.

Turosi's store is on the west side of town. If his disposition towards you is 80 or over, he will admit to being the source of Cerul's problem. He had managed to convince Cerul that it was time to end the feud, and presented him with a ring as a sign of the truce. In truth, he had enchanted the ring to produce a powerful Sound effect after a day had passed.

Return to Cerul and you will be able to use gestures to convince him to remove the ring. He is grateful to you for your help, and will reward you with three scrolls and the ring itself.

20		Apparently, Cerul Arnem has been feuding with the other enchanter in Port Telvannis, Turosi Salvel.
30		Turosi Salvel admitted he tricked Cerul Arnem into wearing a ring enchanted with a potent Sound effect.
40	Finishes quest	I managed to get Cerul Arnem to take his ring off, and he realised that he had been tricked by Turosi, who had offered him the cursed ring as a sign of truce.
