Sathram Volos is a Dark Elf vampire and Savant living an isolated existence high in the Velothi Mountains, within the old Dwemer ruin of Ngelfltingth. He appears to have found a way to ensure that the Dwemer automata within the ruin do not attack him - perhaps by study of the schematics that litter his chamber.
In battle, Sathram wields an Ebony Shortsword, and he will enter such battle with you happily unless you happen to be a fellow member of the Baluath Clan. In this instance, Sathram can be recruited to the clan's new base at Ald Balaal. He will move into the caverns adjacent to this Daedric complex, and can provide a historical perspective on the bloodline you both share.
