Soren Uveran is a Dark Elf witchhunter and Retainer of House Telvanni who can be found in his house in Tel Muthada. He and his brother, Alaud Uveran, work as the gatekeepers of the tower, although the former has a reputation for being cowardly and the latter has a reputation for being stupid. Soren wants to prove himself capable of his duties, but he needs some help along the way.
For protection, he wears a pair of Telvanni mole crab pauldrons, a pair of Telvanni mole crab boots, and a Telvanni guard shield. For clothing, he wears a common shirt with matching pants. He wields a long bow, and carries a steel mace, 20 iron arrows, a piece of jet, and an apprentice's mortar and pestle.
Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows the following spells: Ghost Guard and Saintly Touch.

- "Greetings. Soren Uveran's my name. I'm the "coward" of town, apparently. Not for much longer, though. Soon everyone will see just how brave I am."
- "Tomorrow, I said. You'll just have to wait till then. It's going to be worth it though. Believe me."
When he is on top of Tel Muthada:
- "Surprised to see the town's greatest coward Soren Uveran atop of this tower?"
After helping him kill the Dremora:
- "That... that nearly killed me! I'd be dead without you! Take these, some of my alchemy ingredients. I'm not doing anything dangerous again!" Goodbye (You receive an Apprentice's Mortar and Pestle and a piece of Jet)
- Soren Uveran:
- "I'll show them, I'll show them all. They'll all regret the day they called me the coward. You can see it if you like. I'll be doing it tomorrow, on the tower. It'll be my finest hour!" Goodbye
- "I'll show them, just you wait!" Goodbye
When he is on top of Tel Muthada:
- "Jump? What you mean jump? I'm not going to jump, I'm going to summon a Dremora! I just found a high place so everyone could see me kill it. Now, get out of the way!" Goodbye (He conjures a Dremora and starts fighting it)
- "I've summoned a Dremora. This'll show everyone how truly brave I am. Get out of the way!" Goodbye
If you didn't already talk to him after killing the Dremora:
- "I never did thank you for saving my life, did I? Without you that thing would've killed me. Take these: some alchemy ingredients. I'm not doing anything dangerous again." Goodbye (You receive an Apprentice's Mortar and Pestle and a piece of Jet)
