Detailed WalkthroughEdit
Once you have attained the rank of Disciple within the Tribunal Temple, and completed his other duties, then you may speak to Ano Forondas at the Monastery of St.Felms to receive a final task. He wishes you to put an end to a powerful vampire.
"Your war-pilgrimage is complete. You may walk away, blessed. But, if you truly walk the path of St. Felms, I would send you now against a cursed champion of the Corrupter, Molag Bal. A vampire ancient waits deep beneath the earth under the tower of Ald Virak. If your faith wavers, he will slay you, and your body and soul will be lost to the House of Troubles. But if your faith is true, you will smite him in the name of the Dunmer and their living gods. If you are ready, receive Vivec's blessings."
Ask him about Ald Virak to receive the following directions:
"Ald Virak is a tower southwest of the Hlaalu outpost of Menaan. From the south side of the outpost, follow the road west into the hills. The vampire ancient is deep underground."
You'll want to ensure that you have both means of levitation and a means of breaking a strong lock before setting out.
If you would prefer to fast travel, you can take the silt strider from Bodrum to Omaynis, then from there to Andothren, and finally Menaan. The town itself is otherwise directly east of the monastery. Once there, take the road south from Menaan, turning right at the first fork and crossing a wooden bridge. Proceed from there along the path, upwards into the hills, breaking off to the left once you reach the signpost at the top. The velothi tower of Ald Virak looms above a rocky depression, in which ruins can be seen. Enter the tower.
Ald Virak: Tower is filled with skeletons. A shrine at the top is worth a visit to secure the Holy Blade of Ald Virak, which may prove useful in turning the undead in this area. Your ultimate target is the Romayon Library, accessible through Romayon. Unfortunately, access to Romayon (as opposed to Romayon: Vault) is blocked by a level 90 locked door, which you will need to bypass.
Inside the Romayon Library, you will find Varos - a tough fight. On his eventual defeat, return to Ano Forondas for a true reward - the holy Stole of St. Felms, and a sizable boost to your Reputation.
NotesEdit
- The vampire in question is the progenitor of the Orlukh Clan vampire bloodline.
